Warning: This article contains spoilers from Mayfair Witches season 2, episode 3, "Cover of Mirrors."

The veils between the worlds of Anne Rice's Immortal Universe grow thin, allowing individuals to cross over to the other side.

Sunday's Mayfair Witches turned into a mini crossover event. Actor Gabriel Freilich previously played Felix, a vampire seen catching rats for Lestat (Sam Reid) on fellow AMC series Interview With the Vampire's season 2 finale. He now shows up on "Cover of Mirrors," the third episode of Mayfair Witches season 2, for a chat with Lasher (Jack Huston) about living in the shadows.

The conversation also happens to play out on the bench once visited by Interview With the Vampire's Louis (Jacob Anderson), Lestat, and Claudia (first played by Bailey Bass, then Delainey Hayles) in New Orleans.

Mayfair Witches producers tease the introduction of the Scottish Mayfairs

"I wanted to give the audience some kind of connection to the whole Anne Rice universe and to Interview With the Vampire," Mayfair Witches showrunner Esta Spalding said for AMC's official making-of video for the episode (shown above). "So I went to [Interview with the Vampire showrunner] Rolin [Jones] and said, 'What could we steal from your world that would be an overlap? Is there a vampire who could talk to Lasher?' There's a character in their world, and he's a student of Lestat."

"It shows that this can turn into a real amazing monster universe, bringing over those crossovers with the vampires and the witches and Lasher, whatever the hell he is," Huston added.

In a separate interview with TV Insider, Spalding explained how Freilich's character on Interview with the Vampire was originally referred to as "Pale Young Vamp." So they decided to give him a name. "It's not just a cameo, it is not just an Easter egg," she said. "It’s actually somebody bringing Lestat’s worldview into our show and trying it out with Lasher. And that felt interesting and significant. Of course, it doesn’t stick. That’s not what kind of being [Lasher] is, but it was really fun to try out."

How Alexandra Daddario tried — and failed — to hide her pregnancy from Mayfair Witches costars: ‘Everyone else was partying’

In terms of other, bigger crossover events between the shows, Spalding told TVLine, "You don’t want to give away the juicy stuff too early. It has to be earned. Yes, I keep thinking, ‘When can we talk about Rowan and Lestat?’ But it needs to build."

There are currently three active series in the Immortal Universe: Interview With the Vampire, Mayfair Witches, and The Talamasca. The latter follows the secret agency featured prominently on Mayfair Witches that monitors the supernatural world. Nicholas Denton (Dangerous Liaisons) will star on The Talamasca, which is slated to premiere sometime this year.

We don't need prophetic magic to see that Felix is just the beginning.

I’m currently binging “Dark Winds” season 3.

They had a promo for this series during the commercial break.

It’s connected to amc “Interview w/Vampire” and “Mayfair Witches”.

It looks interesting, but I ain’t watching the 2 shows, I will watch it as a standalone.
