Danielle Panabaker and her younger sister Kay were both exceptional students, Danielle graduated high school at 14 and her sister graduated at 13 and had a college degree at 15.

I have no idea why I knew this!

she is a real life genius like Winny Cooper on Wonder Years.

Slightly ahead of its time. I liked the show.

Basically a real world Incredibles.

It could work EASILY as a series on any streaming service.

doesn't Disney own it?

I know Berlanti who does all the CW shows was behind it.

10 Worst-Written Female Characters In The Arrowverse

BYGEORGE CHRYSOSTOMOU
PUBLISHED APR 4, 2023
The Arrowverse introduced many interesting DC heroes and villains but mishandled a few of its female characters.

The Arrowverse boasts several compelling female characters who have not only received brilliant writing but have also been elevated by phenomenal performances. With fan-favorite DC characters like Kara Danvers, Amanda Waller, and Kate Kane, the Arrowverse treated audiences to interesting female characters.

However, a few of the Arrowverse's female characters simply didn't receive the writing they deserved. Despite the actors' performances and the impression they've made on the comics page, the scripts didn't capitalize on their potential. The Arrowverse essentially wasted some of its greatest assets.

10
Kendra Saunders (Legends Of Tomorrow)

Legends of Tomorrow introduced Hawkgirl and Hawkman together as part of the titular team. While they served significant roles in the show, their lack of chemistry and poor writing meant that their classic comic book romance didn't pan out. Additionally, Kendra wasn't given much to do, except for being a potential love interest.
Thrust into yet another romance that didn't fully suit her, Kendra was given a few narrative scraps. She left the team without much fanfare and has barely appeared since. Hawkgirl is a fantastic Justice League member in the comics, but on the small screen, she was never given the opportunity to shine as a leader.

9
Lisa Snart (The Flash)

Leonard Snart was a fascinating character and a mainstay of the Arrowverse. When The Flash introduced his sister, Lisa, it was fun to see the two interact with one another. As Golden Glider, Lisa maintained plenty of villainous traits that made her very compelling to watch.
Peyton List nailed her role, but the script didn't build a larger part for Lisa to play. She was quickly written out of The Flash, even though all the pieces were in place for them to add another fantastic antagonist to the series. The Flash also changed her look, her figure skating background, her vengeful motives, and her weapons. It was a completely unnecessary bowdlerization of a terrific character.

8
Felicity Smoak (Arrow)

From the start, Felicity was one of the Arrowverse's most beloved characters. Some of her storylines were stellar and helped to cement her legacy, with most of Smoak's personality built on the screen rather than in the comics. However, Arrow's scripts were very inconsistent.

From strange love triangles to Felicity losing her ability to walk and then miraculously solving the issue, some of Arrow's choices for Felicity have been bizarre. The years-long tease that she would become Oracle, killed when she took on the Overwatch mantle, was another odd move. She was then relegated to her role as Oliver Queen's melodramatic wife.

7
Amanda Waller (Arrow)

In the comics and DCEU, Amanda Waller is a manipulative, intelligent, and powerful force to be reckoned with. She is one of the most important leaders in the DC Universe, which is why people fear and respect her. However, the Arrowverse's Amanda Waller doesn't live up to expectations.
Although this Waller was briefly used to set up the Suicide Squad, she never fully demonstrated her power and authority. Then, Lieutenant Joyner shot Amanda in an unexpected move, which essentially wasted the character completely. Cynthia Addai-Robinson's performance was impressive, but Arrow mishandled the character.

6
Mona Wu (Legends Of Tomorrow)

Mona Wu started as a relatively boring character, but her consistent charm and involvement with the Legends elevated the agent. Mona's romance with Konane, a mythical kaupe, was also an intriguing plotline that discussed how different monsters were treated throughout the timeline.
However, Mona's strong foundations only got worse as the Arrowverse grew. When Mona transformed into a werewolf, all the writing went out of the window. They never explored the intriguing themes that came with her transformation and left her feeling underutilized and she was then written out of Legends of Tomorrow with very little explanation.

5
Evelyn Sharp (Arrow)

Evelyn Sharp joined Team Arrow as a prospective vigilante. She briefly took on the Black Canary mantle, which was always a poor choice. She better fit into the role of Artemis, but the character's heel turn really came out of left field.

Evelyn joined Prometheus with very little explanation. It felt like Evelyn was missing a lot of necessary exposition, but then she faded into the background after she left the team. She could have become a big bad in her own right, a story that could have been fueled by her betrayal. However, with no strong stories, Artemis was all but forgotten.

4
Kate Kane (Batwoman)

Kate Kane is probably one of the most controversial Arrowverse characters to date. Batwoman failed to live up to expectations, which was likely due to the way the show handled the protagonist. Kane was never given a clear direction to move in, aside from her rivalry with Alice, and her lack of motivation hurt the series.
Things got worse when Kane's actor, Ruby Rose, left Batwoman. When Ryan Wilder took over Batwoman's mantle, played by Javicia Leslie, her storyline took a turn for the bizarre. Batwoman's change of face and personality weren't explained particularly well, but luckily, Ryan Wilder was a lot more compelling as a lead. It helped save the character but still left her with a lot of problems.

3
Nyxlygsptlnz (Supergirl)

Unfortunately, Nyxly mostly came across as a gender-swapped Mxyzptlk. While that was disappointing, Nyxly's arc was also not interesting enough to make the character into a big bad. She was never an intimidating or threatening villain and needed to feel more like an individual and less like a type.

Although Peta Sargeant gave an incredible performance as Nyxly, the Imp was downgraded to chasing MacGuffins rather than doing anything of real value. Her story dragged out and made her even less popular. Ultimately, compared to the likes of Reign or Lex Luthor, Nyxly was the Arrowverse's worst-written antagonist and she didn't bring anything new out in Kara.

2
Natalia Knight (Batwoman)

Natalia Knight, or Nocturna, is the most forgettable villain on Batwoman's list of foes. She only appeared in one episode of Batwoman. In the comics, she's a threatening, vampiric character, and she could have fit nicely into the Arrowverse's crime and detective stories.
However, Batwoman mishandled Natalia's backstory and nerfed her powers. While there are plenty more DC comics worth adapting in the future, Nocturna probably won't get the call after this terrible introduction to the screen. Only a handful of scenes truly portrayed Nocturna's creepy, intimidating nature, and they never lasted long.

1
Helena Bertinelli (Arrow)

In Arrow, Helena Bertinelli had a complex and heartbreaking backstory. She wanted to get revenge on her father for killing her fiancé, but her romance with Oliver Queen complicated her mission. While she is a compelling character in Arrow, her grit and determination in the comics were never fully captured in the show.
To make matters worse, Helena/Huntress was never given enough screen time in Arrow. She could have been portrayed as the Hood's equal and a long-term love interest and rival. However, Arrow's writing suggested she was often out of her depth, which removed a key aspect of her character. A Huntress whose been training all her life for revenge is a lot more interesting than a girl with a crossbow.
