Doesn't matter what the Dolphins or Tua said it was, the job of the independent neurologist is to examine any player immediately on the sideline who exhibits any signs of head trauma, especially after a big blow to the head.
I've seen in games where a member of the team's staff will take away the helmet from the player and the neurologist will examine the player in a tent.

Tua needs to take the money he's made and hang it up. It's not worth it. I imagine that would be an extremely difficult decision but his future may depend on it.

Damn, I had it all wrong! I thought the independent doctor had the final say as to whether or not a player can return to the field, but he doesn't. Chris Canty read a section from the NFL's own site, and it's the team doctor or the doctor that the team assigns to evaluate that player that has the final say. Doctors being paid by the team. Why in the fuck did the NFLPA agree to this?!
