That's the issue, they give these educated black folks jobs in mostly urban blue collar areas where the majority have much less education than them and for some reason white folks got this hustle down packed like Ron Desantis starting off in those counties full of poor cacs but black folks it's a different story. I don't blame Fani, her kid at that level are very slim, most black men beneath her won't even try for her period cuz they know they don't have a shot.
Tough game honestly and cacs can throw on a cowboy hat and lower themselves to their peers without question, we cannot do that.
Even some sisters where going at her yesterday saying she owns multiple homes lose that hood talk, you far from that.
If she spoke differently those same people in another situation would say she was acting and talking white or thought she was better than the average Black person when it suited their narrative or giving her the Kamala treatment saying she was locking up Black folk.
I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you, but y'alls (not you specifically) understanding of how Black people must move to get along, survive or advance is not consistent. Y'all waiver as to whether the white gaze, white or public opinion matters depending on what you want the end result to be. Y'all
seem to understand how her words or actions can sink her current or future chances because of how white people or the public in general will react, yet some still insist Black politicians, who can't get elected in most places without white votes, should run on platforms or associate with groups that would scare off those same white voters.
Hopefully she survives this with her law license intact. Is the base who voted her in, and would reelect her, comfortable with how she comported herself? They are the ones who have the final say.
I don't believe she is doing this, and I realize there is a double standard, but politicians like Trump appeal to the lowest common denominator of his base all the time with racist and hateful rhetoric and no one in the GOP is questioning whether nor not he is professional enough to hold the highest office on the land. She should be OK as DA.
I'm not saying there isn't things I would have preferred she did differently, and I'm not 100% convinced she is being truthful but, short of concrete evidence that she lied, we have to stop tearing down our own and holding them to a standard no one else has to meet to get or keep their jobs. I'm not saying stand ten toes down and defend her at the top of your lungs, just don't pile on.
