Donald ("Kirk") Hartle, 55, claimed that somebody had taken his dead wife's ballot and cast it for her, becoming part of the multitude of fake claims by the Trump campaign of voter fraud.
Funny story. Turns out Hartle was the fraudulent voter who illegally submitted his wife's ballot then claimed it was stolen. He's been charged with two felonies and faces up to 4 years in prison for each count if he's convicted.
Beyond committing fraud. Beyond perpetuating a lie that has national political consequences, how could a man abuse his late wife's memory this way? A ballot was issues for his late wife Rosemarie in October. It was then later received by the county but Hartle claimed the ballot never came to his house.
At the time, knowing HE HAD FAKED HIS DEAD WIFE'S SIGNATURE, he went on record saying, ?That is pretty sickening to me to be honest with you. It was disbelief. It made no sense to me, but it lent some credence to what you?ve been hearing in the media about these possibilities and now it makes me wonder how pervasive is this??
Rosemarie Hartle?s ballot was one of two cited by Nevada Republicans as evidence of voter fraud in Nevada. A state ballot review earlier this year found 10 possibly deceased voters had ballots cast in their names, a report said, citing data from the Office of Vital Statistics.
