It's not a common foe in the US; we're in a multi-polar world now as opposed to a uni-polar world from when the USSR collapsed. It's a new time now. In this new world, the BRICS helm the present and the future. Also, the BRICS are not interested in having a military pact instead they commonly want to work together to further the healthy growth of their economies as a collective. As for commonalities with India and China, they have a lot: they share a border and they are resolving the issues that go along with that by defining borders....
