Donald Trump Jr., has admitted that he arranged a meeting in June 2016 in New York with a Russian lawyer who has connections to the Kremlin.

WHY?, you ask:

President Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., was promised damaging information about Hillary Clinton before agreeing to meet with a Kremlin-connected Russian lawyer during the 2016 campaign, according to three advisers to the White House briefed on the meeting and two others with knowledge of it.

Hell no. The meeting was also attended by his campaign chairman at the time, Paul J. Manafort, and his son-in-law, Jared Kushner. Mr. Manafort and Mr. Kushner recently disclosed the meeting, though not its content, in confidential government documents described to The New York Times.

Bannon Calls Trump Tower Meeting With Russians ‘Treasonous’

Steve Bannon has described as ‘treasonous’ a meeting between Donald Trump Jr. and a Russian lawyer who said she had damaging information on Hillary Clinton, in a new book by Michael Wolff seen by The Guardian newspaper.

Wolff writes in his book, “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House” that Bannon, Trump’s former top strategist, told him: “The three senior guys in the campaign thought it was a good idea to meet with a foreign government inside Trump Tower in the conference room on the 25th floor—with no lawyers. They didn’t have any lawyers.

Even if you thought that this was not treasonous, or unpatriotic, or bad shit, and I happen to think it’s all of that, you should have called the FBI immediately.”

Bannon told Wolff that if any such meeting had to take place, it should have been set up “in a Holiday Inn in Manchester, New Hampshire, with your lawyers who meet with these people”. Any information, he said, could then be “dump[ed] … down to Breitbart or something like that, or maybe some other more legitimate publication.”

Bannon told Wolff that the investigation into alleged collusion with the Kremlin will focus on money laundering and predicted: “They’re going to crack Don Junior like an egg on national TV.”

The June 2016 meeting involved Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr, his son-in-law Jared Kushner, campaign chairman Paul Manafort and Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya and came about after Trump Jr. was allegedly promised documents that would “incriminate” rival Hillary Clinton. Trump Jr. replied in an email: “I love it.”
