Part of Letitia James lawsuit against Trump is to remove the charters from his businesses and this will cause a whole new level of financial hurt If Trump loses his charters he would not be able to collect rent from his tenants and thus lose his ability to make income. His properties could even be put in a receivership because of history of fraud with Trump University, Trump Foundation, and the finding of tax fraud by a jury last year. Trump being cash poor means that not collecting this money could make it very difficult to fund his defense team over time
