Tristan Walker, creator of Bevel turned down 500mil offer to sell company? #BallsOfSteele

This company is targeted toward black men but does not seem to target black men. I mean, how many bevel ads do you see? Does it seem to want the black audience?

I'm happy for the company's success, but I'm I missing something? Can you be black without targeting the black consumer? He seems to get move love from the tech folks by creating a subscription model but not its product.

you're just missing where they are marketing.

they spent crazy $$$ in podcast advertising on combat jack, taxstone and other popular platforms....

nas did a commercial and song

and they have their own online magazine called bevel code

marketing is the thing they are definitely getting right...
Ok. I've heard the ads on combat jack.

Its a risk to not sell...

But think if it gets big... ownership creates generational wealth... it be beautiful to be the one offering to buy the competition in 10 years.

Selling now kills that
Lol. $1.5b creates more than generations of wealth and it's sure money, unless being exposed to risk.

In the black banking thread, this was the exact reason everyone said they wouldn't bank black. Once it got traction it would be sold out to white banks.

He needs to sit on his creation and create the kind of wealth that can change the world for young black kids
