Any of you fellas trade futures/commodities? About to open a new account and havent traded in a few years. Need to know a good broker with low roundtrip fees. I used to have account with Man Financial but fees arent the same. Any input?

Sorry fam, I can't really recommend any Futures brokers. I messed with Currency Futures for a minute, but I can’t really fuck with it anymore. Not enough leverage for me. I only trade on the Forex

Commodities is a tough business hommie. I have traded for 10 years. What are you looking to trade? Eminis, Metals, Energies, Grains,Currencies,Meats...... Futures or Options? I have dealt with them all.

Interactive is about as cheap as it gets, but the markets that they let you trade are limited. As a rule the more you deposit and trade, the lower the commissions.

Man Financial has some O.K. Trading Platforms, but they don't have good risk management software that enables you to see your account P/L until the next day.

Do you have charting software? Are you doing your own trading online or calling your orders in?

I just got tradestation 8 and i use eod data( short term trading, not day). Yes was doing my on trading online and will continue to do so. Any decent trading systems you work with? Im be trying to develop and tweak some strategys but still learning the tradestation 8 platform. But it is hot!

Go futures is good. With interactivebrokers I use ninja trader platform,"it" is very good,as far as chat room I run "it" have been in the markets for 19 yrs now.Yes we trade the emini sp 500,very easy to follow.

Used to deal witha Black Commodities firm out of Chicago in about 97/8, who actually first put me on to day trading;Will have to dig up some old crates for their firm info; learned alot from them while plotting my own moves; discovered options and the benefits through dealing with them; do a lil research and you should come across them
