Top 25 Players in the NBA

Lebron will break down later in his career just like Kobe is now....

thats what i tell niggaz, muthafuckas seem to think that lebron is gonna be playing for 15 yrs or something :smh::smh::smh:

that nigga is almost 300 pounds, pretty soon when he's like 33 or something he's gonna be mad sluggish, nigga aint gonna be the same guy we know today

muthafuckas are dumb as hell

:smh::smh:

.... I don't disagree that there were more quality players per team then with a smaller league, but the game was simply basketball then, where the game's best offensive players were the stars, best offense almost always won and offense was far ahead of the defensive game....with TV, marketing and the internet exploding in the 80's, 90's and up to the present, it is now more about entertainment than basketball, and the best defensive teams are the dominant teams..

Bill Russell was the greatest defensive player in history. HE changed the game in 1956. It wasn't changed in the '80s, '90s or '00s. Fact is, the court is more crowded with big bodies these days. There's less flexibility within the confines of the hardwood (whose size hasn't changed). That doesn't make the game any better, and certainly not more competitive (given how many awful teams and useless players there are nowadays).

the game wasn't necessarily better , it was DIFFERENT...a different game...
Nah, the league was better. Much better. The quality of play we as fans are currently subjected to on a nightly basis is disgraceful. The NBA is watered down, lacking in fundamentals, and filled with far too many underdeveloped talents.

true indeed

thats why the draft sucks

The league was BETTER back them. Fewer teams and MORE quality players on each team. There was no shortage of blacks. ALL of the best players in the country were on the court. That racist shit is garbage. West did everything better than Kobe (and better than just about every guard in history).

He took a garbage team to 66 and 61 wins and the finals. Kobe has never done that. And Kobe has never led his team in PPG, RPG, APG and SPG in a single season.

Blunt is actually dropping gems:cool::yes:

Co-FUCKING-sign!! And I'm a young 34:yes:

Lamarcus Aldridge at 20, but Kevin Love and Blake Griffin at 16 and 15?

And bosh at 13?

Put bosh at 16, Blake at 15, Aldridge at 13. At LEAST.

Also my top five for the season are

Howard
Rose
Lebron
Wade
Kobe

eddie johnson always has a funny slant on shit. he tends to gravitate towards scorers because he was a gunner himself.

he should stick to imparting knowledge on jumpshots, not making nonsensical lists of his favorite players. blake griffin top 20?

maybe his focus on O is why eddie is always chasing coaching gigs (and unable to beat out candidates like coach kalamian or coach kokoskov).

I see what you are saying, but a 33 year old Lebron would be in his 14th Year. The Career stats would be there for the most part. Also, I think that the older he gets, the more his game will evolve to something more and more similar to that of Magic Johnson's. He won't be the scoring threat in the manner he is now (out running while over powering), but that court vision is only going to get better.

I can see him averaging 10+ assist a game once he gets more and more accustomed to Bosh, Wade, and the Heat get that consistent knock down shooter.

.Bill Russell is one of the greatest, but his impact has had little to do with today's game in 2011...the game has constantly changed...major changes in the 80's on and off the court, because of Magic and Bird...the size of the court hasn't changed, the speed of the game, and the size, speed, and athleticism of players has changed dramatically, which is why the league doesn't look like the league in the 70's...the game had a lot of slow 7 foot white players in the 70 and 80's, who couldn't play in today's game because of the speed, size, and athleticism of smaller 6-8 to 6-10 players of today...its a different game, less on fundamental basketball, more about athletic ability....too much expansion?, YES...thats led to a bunch of sorry teams...but the game is great when its the best against the best (playoff basketball)...

...the league was better through the 80's , not back in the 70's...there were bad teams in the 70's ...

from what I remember Lebron is #1 in PER and Points Difference in Game.....

that would probably do it.... esp. added with his PPG, RPG, and APG.

Yea he also had the best team/record in his home town for the last two year, didn't even make it to the finals! then left like a bitch

A one-man-show can only go so far. That's why he left. Still, I'd like to see Kobe win 45 games with either of those Cleveland teams, nevermind 66 and 61!!!!

lebron is #1 now
he doesn't work on his game
in the next 2 years he's going to be #3
behind derrick rose and kevin durant.
that train is coming and there's nothing they can really do about it. these cats are 22 years old and already top 10 talent. one is about to be mvp the other is about to be back to back scoring champion there's no escaping it.

im not a warriors fan at all but monte should definitely be on that top 25 list...Kobe even said he's the toughest player to guard and he's the 4 or 5th best scorer in the League he stayin gettin snubbed from all star to this shit

Lebron cavs had the best record at 61-21 last year now this year they are 19-63

Lebron is the best player in the league.

Then why does the well-stocked Miami team have a WORSE record than the last two Cavs teams???

wayde missed training camp, so they couldn't develop a good chemistry to compete with the likes of the celtics, magics, bulls, whose core has been together for years. So while the heat had to figure out how to play together during the season, the other teams, already developed their chemistry.

Chris Paul at 10 ????? That's about right I guess.

I wonder how much this would change if he had the right players around him to complement his talents.

Imagine him with a Bynum, Gasol, and Odom. :smh:

Or a KG, Pierce, and Allen :smh:

Or a D-Wade and Bosh :smh:

And thats why he is developing his low post game now... don't be surprised later in his career he becomes a dangerous low post player.
