.:Top 10 Failed McDonald's Products:.

I've already taste tested the Angus Deluxe burgers which will soon be the first new burgers from McDonald's since the Big N Tasty back in 2001.

These are actually pretty good... and I can not stand the Hardee's/Carl's Jr Angus burger. 1/3 lb patties that come fully dressed with just American Cheese, with Bacon and American Cheese or with Mushroom and Swiss.

But the burgers alone start at $3.99, so I don't know how well they will sell to people used to ordering off of the Dollar Value Menu.

So the McPizza is real. I thought I was seeing things back on that 93 roadtrip. I just thought the south was really that backwards. Anybody fock with Steak and Shake down south? Only been there in Flordia and that shit was good.

How the hell this didn't make the list along w/ those Shaker Salads?

I'm glad they didn't put the McRib up there. I am addicted to that damn thing for some reason.

Luckily it comes back every couple of months.

you know that they are EXACTLY like those rib sandwiches that they sell in the grocery store right? lol

It is probably is good, but 4 bucks for a Mickey D's burger is way too high.:smh:

The McPizza is/was very real. Was still alive and kicking too up until recently.... well at least in one store that I know of.

the shaker salad was a great fucking idea

i use to get one of them like everyfucking day, then bam they're gone

... I personally remember taking one bite of the mc pizza and spitting that shyt out ...I also remember hitting up mc donalds before a raptors game i went to and gettin a hot dog..They just need to stay in there lane w/ fries and burgers lol..

Ive had the Mcribs,McPizza and this other sandwhich that they dont have shown up there that was like a 25 pounder but it had this white sauce on it and I remember them selling them shits for 1 buck, this was before the dollar menu.

What about the wack ass cheesesteaks they sold a couple of years ago?

It was nothing but some Steak Um on a hotdog bun like the shit they served in college.

Mighty Wings must be coming back because it's not on the list. I could fuck up my whole Sunday trying to eat 20 hot sauce ranch/bleu drippin' jawns to the dome - and sleep like a baby. I'll get extra special and put some shredded cheese over that mess.

I remember talking my GM out of selling McPizza - I'm like "this is Central Jersey!!!" if the closest imatation of real pizza is Pizza Hut and they're always empty then what the hell are we supposed to do?"" I got his ass when I asked if McD corporate was going to buy the oven back when they abandon the product in a year.

A lot of the failed products are that way because they can't be effectively delivered in all markets - you got some restaurants that have a slew of bad hires back to back where they can't even get a hot cheeseburger to you in a reasonable time - with a smile - so if you can imagine what a McDLT with rotten tomatoes and lettuce tastes like then you know what I'm talking about.

You damn right it was. To this day thats how I make a salad. Put it in a bowl and shake it up... Before that product, I used to try to stir the lettuce and shit around for like 5 fucking minutes to get all the vegies covered. Bit that shit from the ad and havent looked back since... That was like 10 fucking years ago.

I stopped eating at McDonald's years ago once I realized that every food they make will have "Mc" in it. Always felt like I was eating kiddie food, Mc this and Mc that. Also, why isn't the McRib on this list, nasty as shit!

Those actually used to be pretty good.

What they forgot the McRib?

McGratin Croquette
[McDLT

The McDLT (McDonald’s Lettuce and Tomato) was sold in a novel form of packaging. The meat and bottom half of the bun were prepared separately from the lettuce, tomato, American cheese, pickles, sauces, and top half of the bun. Both were then packaged into a specially designed two-sided container. The consumer was then expected to finalize preparation of the sandwich by combining the hot and cool sides just prior to eating. The first problem was that the packaging was unwieldy – but even worse: who wants to buy fast food and then put it together themselves? The atrocious video above is almost reason enough for this incredible failure of a product. It stars the famous Jason Alexander in one of the most awful adverts from the 80s. This burger eventually found its way back to McDonald’s rebranded, restyled, and actually put together for you, as the Big N’ Tasty.

I actually remember begging my mother to buy me one, and when I finally got one and ate it, my face went from  to :hmm:

Arch Deluxe

McDonald’s positioned the Arch Deluxe as a “hamburger for adults” — with a sophisticated, grown up taste. Arch Deluxe ads showed kids making “yucky faces,” turning up their noses at the new adult burger. They even showed Ronald engaged in “adult” activities like golf and pool. And the result of spending over $100 million on the Arch Deluxe campaign? As one Wall Street analyst put it: “They teed off one of the most expensive campaigns in history, and still we estimate that comparable store sales were down for the quarter.” A major management shake-up followed shortly thereafter.

I actually really liked this burger.

McPizza
21abn0p.jpg

In the mid-nineties, McDonald’s decided to go into the pizza business; the resulting pizza was bland (like much of McD’s food offerings), and most people who actually wanted pizza went to a pizza place like they always had. The company and its frachisees were left on the hook for expensive new ovens and widened drive through windows that weren’t needed. Even saturation marketing wasn’t enough to change the pizza habits of ordinary Americans, and McPizza was gradually abandoned, and generally forgotten. Why did this product fail? In short, people didn’t associate McDonald’s with pizza and they could get better pizza elsewhere.[/quote]

I actually remember eating this on occasion and thinking it was halfway decent, but then again, I was a senior in high school (1991) and knew little to nothing about quality food.

I also actually knew a local McDonalds that still sold McPizza at least until 2001. Heck, they still might, I haven't been to that location since.

The first problem with this burger was that men were turned off it (much like Diet Coke which lead to Coke Zero). The next problem was its taste. In the advert above you see that McDonald’s was marketing it as “low fat but tastes great” – but it didn’t. The fat that was removed was replaced with water – but to make the water stay in the meat, it was mixed with carrageenan – seaweed to you and me. The burger tasted awful, had a limited market, and failed dismally which is really no surprise.

Shoot, if they really wanted to seal the deal on having this burger be an epic fail, they should've used as their spokesperson...get ready...

....hold on....

...the godfather of failed tv shows...

...none other than...

...the one, the only...

.....MCLEAN STEVENSON!!!
