Tony Robbins calls bullshit on #metoo movement

Peace,

Hes a white man.. Of course he does. No one has a more entitled mindset than them . But if these bitches thought white men would give them an unlimited time frame to cry rape then they were sadly mistaken. They have a defined window to get these #MeToo shots off.. After that they gonna be called to the carpet. And look for a new term to be coined to discredit them too. Same white man that bought you "reverse racism" gonna come with "reverse sexism" or "man shaming" to shut these bitches up. Dont belee me jus watch.

So true. As soon as the dust settles #metoo will be assigned to the same dustbin as feminism in general.

All you know is american history? 200 years of history ya got there eh?

Anyway, to stay on topic, what he said is relevant to YOU
more like 400 years and this discussion is about how it relates to the perpetrators of crimes again the people theyre lecturing to. I'm fully aware of anger and the backlash but its ludicrous to believe the group thats fucking you up is the group that can tell you HOW to be angry about something.

thats some nonsense YOU subscribe to.

Folks on BGOL been calling out some aspects of #metoo. I've noted if cats posted to facebook or twitter what they posted here they'd be ran off social media. Robbins comes out and says something about #metoo and now it's somehow about white men?

These feminists coming after everyone. Someone better start speaking publicly on that shit.

Ok so you admit to only caring about 400 years of history. But anyway...

To be honest I dunno why y'all see a man talking about an issue that affects you just as much if not MORE, And waste time on all this stupid shit about how you are just as affected as these women but ok

Pretty much all I was saying. This is amazing to me lol. Some of these guys are obsessed with white men to the point where they become women when one speaks I guess lol

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5326313/Chef-Sara-Moulton-opens-sexual-harassment.html

‘When I got back to the United States, I told Julia that I had a great time and learned a ton. It took me six months to share with her what Maurice had done, and her response was, “Oh dearie, what did you expect? They’re all like that. Get over it,”’ Moulton says in the column.

‘When she first told me that, I thought, “Whoa!” but I wasn’t mad at her. Then, about five years ago, I thought, that’s Julia — she never let anything get in her way. And I was the same way ― I never let anything get in my way, and I told myself, “Don’t get hung up on stupid ‘feminist’ things.” But now, I’m thinking about it differently.’

I don't sexually harass women so I'm not worried about getting caught up in some bullshit. Also I recognise that the movement is about calling attention to harassment and misconduct up to and including assault..something that men in general and white men in particular have been getting away with for longer than the country has been a country (more history but you know this right..) like any movement there's going to some issues of people trying to use it for their own agenda but the overall gist is still noble and honest.

Robbins telling a anecdote about a man declining to hire a qualified woman because she was too good looking and he didn't want any trouble says more about the man than the movement. If you don't get that then you're a part of the problem.

Lol look at this

A Black man talking about "I'm not guilty so I don't got nothing to worry about"

Amazing.

didn't you just criticize dude for a anecdotal? Now you're asking for one?
no didn't criticize him for telling a story...only that the story was fucked up and actually proved why #metoo exists.. I asked how many times youve been falsely accused of sexual harrassment that makes you so paranoid and against the movement?..I don't need a story just a number.

Pretty much all I was saying. This is amazing to me lol. Some of these guys are obsessed with white men to the point where they become women when one speaks I guess lol
Yeah man. When I first saw this story, was just wondering what he said and how he said it. Gave a fuck about him being white, just wanted to know if he was calling bullshit on SOME of this shit.

Again with the white men. What is your obsession with them? Take a deep breath. Count to 10. And just focus on men and women. Why? Because it's 2018. They coming after all men. These feminists trying to get black men cases for that street harassment. Just saying 'smile' is now some shit. If you think this #metoo shit isn't going to affect black men, you're crazy.

There are problems with men. I admit that. But there are also problems with women. And why the fuck would a man put himself in a potential he said/she said situation where they are throwing men under the bus with just allegations? Are you high? So in 2028 she can say he made a pass at her in 2018. FOH.

It goes along with cats not putting themselves alone with women now. It goes with people wanting to record all interactions with women when alone. A man has the right to protect himself in this climate because no one else is going to stand up for a man of any fucking color.

Lol look at this

A Black man talking about "I'm not guilty so I don't got nothing to worry about"

Amazing.
Yeah, that's crazy to say.

He keeps talking about white men. The funny thing is very few black males are feminists. Most the male feminist are western white males. Geech is the only cat on this board who consistently uses feminist talking points.

You can tell he's using feminist talking points from white women because he is so focused on white men.

So saying white men will lead the backlash and questioning the sincerity and legitimacy of perpetrators of crimes lecturing the victims is somehow an illustration of an obsession with white men? You guys go out of your way to defend your masters while purposely missing the most blatant of points being made. Very weird.

Let him say he won't hire a black person because of possible discrimination cases and see how receptive they are.

The onus isn't on women not to be attractive or for people not to be black (so to speak), it's for abusers to control their damn selves. How about not hiring sexual predators and racists?

BTW he was walking this back less than 24 hrs later. The creator of #metoo said his people reached out to her before she had even heard about it trying to do damage control.

I use black folks and race as an example because some of these folk only understand fuckery as it relates to that. Too many benefit from the status quo to want to change how things are. Just like white folks don't want to give up a position of power and superiority, men don't either when it comes to being sexual bullies without consequences. No one wants to pay the price for being a known despicable human being, but they still want to do what they want to other people.

Ask your mama and older relatives about sexual harassment. Ask your women friends. I'm not one to blanket label men as pieces of shit, but I can understand the women who do.

okay..where was tony robbins when bill cosby and nate parker was in the hot seat??? You think he's making an argument for YOU? You have to watch your OWN back in this society homie...you should know that by now. metoo has named some black men (russell simmons..hell ben vereens name came up on some shit 20 years ago).. the bottom line to that is as long as YOU keep your nose clean you don't have to worry about that shit...

ALL businesses have rules and codes about romance in the office and they ALL pretty much frown on it or discourage it for just this reason and thats been a rule looong before metoo came along. So if the BOSS (supposedly the most professional acting person in the place) is scared of trumped up allegations that just exposes the kind of non professional atmosphere he allows in his place of business and among his employees. I got my first real job at 16 working in a mailroom for a law firm..there were MANY hot secretaries and paralegals there and the first thing the old guys told me was NEVER SHIT WHERE YOU EAT. Today motherfuckers wanna forget that rule then complain when shit comes back to bite them in the ass:rolleyes::hmm:

Be a professional....do your JOB and fuck the woman you have at home and none of that shit will be a problem for you.

I haven't. At all. No where near it. But it's funny that just because he said it , you assumed that he must have something like that, and I must for agreeing with what he said. I don't even like Tony Robbins anyway. There's some truth to what he said.

But you don't see it. That's ok. But what's not ok is to see someone who disagrees with you and start a witch Hunt. That's actually proving what he's talking about.

So saying white men will lead the backlash and questioning the sincerity and legitimacy of perpetrators of crimes lecturing the victims is somehow an illustration of an obsession with white men? Who the fuck is defending white men? I just think it's more important to focus on the gender aspect of this issue. Black athletes been falling victim to this shit and just been quiet as fuck. Someone has to speak up.

The defense is provided by those accusing those making factual observations of having an obsession. Not sure what this has to do with black athletes either. You may be conflating totally different issues. Maybe you should read the thread title and OP to better understand the discussion it has spawned.

we can disagree its not about a witch hunt..the movement uncovered something thats been the status quo in society from the beginning and now the people who suffer under it are exposing it...are some going overboard in some cases..yes..is that being exposed..yes (aziz ansari had much support from women who recognized the claim against him as overboard) but that doesn't delegitimize the movement.. as such NO ONE should be telling women that “anger is not empowerment.” thats patronizing and a fucking insult but you don't see it.

I never said he's making an argument for me, but calling bullshit has to start somewhere. Everyone out here walking on eggshells. Even feminists (blossom)have been called out for trying to bring common sense to this.

As long as we keep our nose clean, we have nothing to worry about? So is that like as long as we follow the law, we don't have to worry about police brutality? So even feminist say up to 10 percent of rape allegations can be false. That's just fucking rape. Harassment is an entire different ballgame. But you saying  "if you don't do anything wrong, you don't have anything to worry about!" No. Fuck that. Because all it takes is ONE allegation. You're done.

And this has nothing to do with resenting women. Women are treated like grown children in western society.

Let him say he won't hire a black person because of possible discrimination cases and see how receptive they are.

Lol it's funny that you don't know or it hasn't even occured to you that that already happens.

As far as if not being on the woman to not be attractive ... Duh. This isn't about a man not being able to control himself , it's about not being in any situation where he could be easily PERCIEVED to be a predator, just in case an accusation pops up. If there's no woman around, then there's no chance that he could ever be accused , or.any situation could even be misunderstood.

Look at how even this statement he made to a crowd is misunderstood. That right there tells you that communication can sometimes be misinterpreted and to keep it simple it would work easier to just interact with little to no women in the work place. Zero women equals zero sexual miscommunication.

There's no lawsuit for women who wear low cut blouses in order to get their way in meetings, or the "freakum dress".

There's plenty of passive agrresive bullshit that' goes on between men and women in workplaces that simply wouldn't go on, when there ain't no women there. And a man doesn't have to be bothered with any of it if he's not around women at work. Could be missing out on a good employee here or there, but someen might choose not to bother with it.

Even the wives of theen don't wanna see some attractive women working for them. Funny cuz I'm sure some of those women were in that crowd.

But bring it up and they can all pretend that what he REALLY MEANT was "free all rapists and fuck these hoes "

Silliness

Rape is bad. Sexual abuse is bad. Sexual misconduct by ANYONE at the workplace is bad. I don't participate in it, and I don't have any record of that. I have, however seen it be misused. Glad you brought up Aziz. That's the kind of shit he's talking about. Did that case delegitamize the movement ? No. But it was a case of exactly what he's talking about. And His case doesn't stand alone, which is why Robbins addressed it on a more general scale. And your immediate reaction is "he must have something to hide"--- which is the definition of a witch Hunt.

Now if some lady comes out next week accusing him of something your only evidence will be his statement from this week.

And the statement of "anger isn't empowerment" is true. It's just anger.

Not knowing that can keep you from true empowerment.

Yo, anyone else for fucking Tony Robbins books in the pop ads in this bitch now? I'm leaving this thread cuz I don't wanna see his CAC face in my feed anymore lol

blacks are treated like a protected class and need shit policies like affirmative action in order to compete... Blacks are complaining about racism but THEY perpetuate the racism themselves by their attitudes and behavior blah blah blah. These are the backlash positions racist cacs take all the while ignoring the shit they do or have done thats the reason for all this shit to begin with. Its the same with gender.

the bottomline is white people in general and white men in particular have no moral high ground to say that anger isn't empowerment when this country and society was shaped by white male anger

anger at the queen of england
anger at the native americans
anger at free blacks
anger at chinese and japanese
hell anger at immigrant peasant europeans
anger at mexicans
anger at women

the list goes on and on and thru out ALL OF THAT..MANY INNOCENT PEOPLE WERE KILLED OR INJURED OR WHAT HAVE YOU.. you know what they call that..collateral damage and a shrug and they move on...as long as they get what they want..whether thats land, money, political power, pussy or whatever.

Then to demonstrate a fist push to not so subtly illustrate what white male anger can do if pushed too far is basically a not so subtle threat that she picked up on. That ANYONE who has been in the crosshairs of white male anger before would pick up on.

And you sit there TRYING to act like that's a legitimate rebuttal..why...because he said it in a pseudo reasonable voice?

FOH with that bullshit homie...anger...VIOLENT ANGER and anger in any degree has historically worked in white mens favor and when anyone else is doing it they have to be shamed and "reasoned" out of it?

And you endorse that shit??

damn you brought that heat

It absolutely happens. Voice it as a policy and see home many lawsuits show up. A simple dress code would take care of cleavage issues, skirts below a certain length. Harder to do with snug fitting outfits, as it's usually how the woman is built that determines whether or not that is perceived as sexual.

It's not the same.

Shit don't matter. Tony apologized. They breaking people out here left and right.

Bound to lose some followers by calling the #MeToo movement bullshit. That takes some guts as many of his followers are #MeToo types.

He's also right that many of them are looking for some significance.
