He was scared of getting hit, he's 45 so his body doesn't react to what it tells it to do as quick anymore and he's 45 and his body doesn't take hits or heal like it used to. Brady probably took some hard hits in a game one Sunday and was still feeling it the same way the next Sunday so he didn't want to feel that pain again. When I was watching him being scared of hits this year I knew he wasn't coming back, he probably hoped COVID had came back up and ended the season early...lol
Trust me, plenty of white folks will tune in just for Tom Brady. Hell, look at Tony Romo at CBS and all the money they give him.
