Time For LL Cool J To Give It Up

:dunno:

It's aight. I made it about 2 min in.

I'm a big LL fan from back in the day and all that and of course his rhymes were tight and skills and all that but the song to me is just ehhh.

But I don't really listen to radio or be checking for the latest songs out.

Dude just needs to get his grown man Will Smith on and go make a movie or do another TV show or something.

LL is on one of the biggest shows on TV. Might be the biggest. Or top 3 anyway. He doing rap for the fuck of it. He's eating nice off NCIS LA which i've never seen but its a huge hit.

I knew he was doing some kinda show. Couldn't think which one it was but yeah I don't watch much TV either.

Dude just needs to chill and stop trying to stay musically relevant. But if he just wants to keep pumping out albums I guess do you playa.

it was aight. if you mean he should retire on top, that boat sailed a long time ago. decent filler track. something should be used in video game. wouldn't have made a video about it.

If he enjoys rapping why the fuck should he? I'd rather hear this than that hookah faggotry by Yung homo and that anorexic valley child Tyga.

Yea I think its for the love. Or maybe a ego thing to prove he still has it. He doesn't have to do it that's for sure.

Someone stated it best though. Everything sounds good individually on this record but it doesn't mesh well.

Sounds and looks to me like he's trying to jump on what's hot. I glanced at his last 3 albums and that's what he was doing each time. Grab whoever is hot and have them guest star on the song and jump on whatever hot sound is out or hot producer is out to lace his beats and put out an album.

That sounds like trying to stay hip and relevant rather than artistic and creative.

That's just me tho. Dude keeps trying his best to put out a hot new album. Go for it. Maybe he'll come up with a smash.

LL isn't definitely not what he once was, but would you rather listen to him or this?

yup. FUck Lil Wayne, FUck All GOld Everything. Fuck all of these baby gangstas tight pants wearing half a fags.

i wasn't mad at this song but i wasn't really impressed.
it was actually than a lot of shit that has come out this year and damn what is it with dudes stay callin rakim the goat

imo to be considered the goat you have to pass the time test, meaning how does this person fare among each generation as time passes.

for example
muhammad ali, no matter who came before him or after him its consensus that he's the goat (except for white folks and haters)
jordan, do i really need to explain

these young cats don't know nothing about rakim the last song they heard with him on it was probably that so contagious song with that chick and dr dre to be honest yea he was smooth on the mic, i just prefer scarface

but back to this song, ehh i would bump the instrumental with just the hook

You're right. He's been doing that since his sixth album. In fact, one hip hop documentary used his single as an example. Nas even explained that formula in one of his songs.

He always had lyrics....but u can tell that he dumb-downed his shit for this track (when compared to his older stuff).

The video...
He didnt seem to "fit in".
Seems as if he's a 46 year old man that shaved all his facial hair off ..just so he could look younger and fit in with a bunch of young niggas that aint really doing shit.

Its a shame when the Greats have go along with the clown shit in order to stay relevant.

Fuck what yall talking about this is my LL forever right here.

Just peep that good old school energy, this is how you perform with confidence!
