KD is a great basketball player but he has no post game, if he does I sure would like to see it more. Today's player are great athletes but a lot of them lack the fundamentals of the game.

I'm sure if dudes back in the day were told to take more 3's, they could do it and be consistent at it. Vinnie Johnson Aka the Microwave, when he got to stroking he didn't miss shit. I use to tell my brother he look like the dude who would come to the park with some Stacy Adams on and a half pint in his back pocket and light every body ass up on the court.

I love that era of Basketball, but seriously tho, that shit on the video was not basketball. That was mothafuckas that just hated each other and was out to hurt somebody.

I'm glad they cleaned the league up concerning "hard fouls", but sometimes the tic tac fouls stop the flow of the game, so there is a down side to it.

What has hurt the sport as far as team play is shit like Sportcenter and these other sports shows that single out an individual player for his attributes. Now, every player wants to be that guy, meaning they want to be bigger then the team their on. To me, that has made it weak.

Fuck winning the game by passing the ball around, mofo gotta get his average up.

All these quote on quote all around players you claim don't average double doubles, don't block don't lead the league in any defense stats, etc... Wanna talk about all around.. Hakeem was the MVP, dpoy, and NBA finals MVP of the yr all the same yr how many of your all around players did that?... I don't think you kno what all around player really mean..its both ends of the ball offense/defense.. None of your all arounds can hold a candle to hakeem

Yea the notion that if you aint out of touch with basketball and dont wish Benoit Benjamin and JR Reid was still out there you dont know bball is BULLSHIT.

The overemphasis of the fights and toughness of those eras is a deflection from the lack of shooting, versatility, athleticism, and defensive strategy they had. Its also a longing for when the game had more white american players and stars versus the virtual all young and black league of today.

The “League” didn’t take the Center position away, players did.

Strangely two of the players you mentioned are a big part of why the typical back to the basket center is no longer around. Hakeem and The Admiral. They were face up players that had typical venters looking foolish on defense, Centers had to adapt.
