IMO so many layers to this shit
She should’ve been restrained by staff or other students. A crowd this big, were the other security or faculty members? She shouldn’t put her hands on an adult and he went overboard with the punches. Again I tell my daughters don’t put your hands on anyone without expecting to get hands on you. Especially my step daughter who think she tough and going thru this “stud” phase (that’s another thread for another day)
I would’ve rather he grab her and even tackle her to the ground

She's a big dummy and received consequences BUTTTT, he's an even bigger idiot and clearly ill-equipped for this job. He may be in a thankless job, but he chose to be there. As a school officer, you have to understand, these kids ain't shit and things like this are prone to happen. You can't have no hair trigger that allows you to hold a female teenager and continue punching her when your life is not in danger and you're clearly in a position of power.

If ya'll excuse his behavior, you're also excusing police who snap out of frustration in other circumstances that affect people that look like us. This ain't about what you think you'd do, this is about what this man, as police officer of the goddamn law is supposed to do.

He's a security office not a police officer. But your point is a bit off, if a police officer etc snaps on someone who's complying it's somewhat different if someone hit an officer when they were peacefully trying to stop a fight from happening. I fully understand that once I put my hands on someone anything can happen after that I better be prepared. A lot of these kid & some adults haven't been taught that and think they can put their hands on folks without consequences.

I hear you but as a grown assed man in a position of authority he still has a responsibility to excercise restraint.

If we were talking one retaliatory hit and then he restrained her I could maybe give him a pass.

But he lost his cool and started swinging off like she was a grown man and even had to be restrained.

There's no justifying that.

This I can agree with
He may face jail time civil lawsuits etc
But at the same thing something needs to be done about these bad ass kids and females that grew up and growing up thinking they’re no repercussions for physical attacks
 
Where is principal Morgan Freeman"Joe Clark" when you need him. Would his style of discipline work with today's generation of kids. These kids have no respect for authority, like who the hell is raising them.
 
It almost got heated between family discussing something similar to this

Well no because I teach my daughter to keep her hands to herself and respect authority

Brother in law gets involved(police officer)- yeah it’s true. You don’t know how many times we respond to a DV and we’re ready take the man to jail and it’s the woman doing all the hitting, spitting, etc
 
That was his way of restraining her. Her parents should have taught her to have respect and don't swing and hit a grown in the face and expect that person to have restraint. Result of her actions. This will teach her decisions have consequences you can't controll
 
Homie did the right thing... at first. They may try to charge him because after she started to retreat, he still gave her several more knuckle sandwiches, lol.

The student doing the filming need to take up filmography.

Those kids did not restrain him. He stopped on his own. If he started back up there is nothing any of them could have done.

I wanna give props to the fellows who escorted the cop away before he killed the student but where were they before it got to this point


Maybe they arrived on the scene late

I might watch again to see if I can spot them as onlookers
 
There is no situation where beating up a juvenile female is justified. You always look like a bitch. Real men exercise restraint and can control your anger. This whole if you touch me anything goes mentality is some female shit. If a mentally retarded person comes up and slaps you are you gonna put them in a coma?

We gotta be better than this shit. That asshole should never be allowed in a school again and definitely should not be a security professional. If you can't deescalte situations if you can't restrain with minimal harm then wtf were they teaching you in security school Craig.

I'll give you that because she's a kid. Pretty big for a juvenile but still a kid. But...she chose an adult route. In that situation, the situation had to be handled. I could see a punch or two to set the record straight. Then maybe a take down. When she was trying to run away and he was holding her hair I'll give you that. He was mad and that was bitch shit. Uncontrolled anger that wasn't expected from a professional. Them first two licks was warranted though. Kid or no kid...no. Aht aht! Don't do that shit! Now on the ground you go. Handled.

My thinking is situational awareness
If you know a mentally challenged person is violent do your best to stay away from
I’ve worked with some and I’ve been there when they’ve put nurses, aides, etc in the hospital. So you trying wrestle and that’Sa whole different situation
The issue with “don’t hit me back” with females is she could’ve said he sexually assaulted her (as per the norm)
These agencies don’t teach anything when dealing with females or kids/teenagers trust me I’ve walked away from jobs like that
There should be a female staff with him in situations like this and at all schools
He lost his cool, his job, possibly his freedom
But again “stay in a child’s place” “don’t put your hands on people” needs to be brought back
A SRO got jumped at a hs here in TN just trying break up a fight, then you got parents complaining about use of pepper spray and then you have to explain “how much force was needed” to restrain someone
This shit is a headache and I don’t miss it
