now that we are talking about gas prices tho...

maybe im late...maybe im slow...but the gov't justifies the outrageous prices saying its capitalism

but they regulate other indusries telling them how much they can produce (tobacco sharecroppers for example)

anyone know why they dont do this for oil?...expecially when its one of the reasons we are in recession

Tobacco is more locally produced than oil so the stipulations are different.

But this is why I am so anti-capitalist. If we had a government run non-profit gas company think about the money that could be saved. I think all services that are damn near a necessity(gas, healthcare, and food for example) should be government run which would lower prices and create jobs.
