No problem Sir... you are not alone. I met a 26 yr old university student from Burkina Faso who also didn't know Thomas Sankara...![]()
this isnt surprising as u can tell ,just cos someone is from the motherland dont mean they know their history and are culturally upright!!, and i trust u know that! And that is why it troubles me how naive and almost juvenile we can be when i hear certain people judge our afrikan brothers based on rantings of someone like that youngman 26yr whos never heard of sankara ,which means he probably has a fucked up worldview of blackfolks in general or people judge afrikan amerikans based on one view of someone like the herman cain etc![]()
His colleaguie who organized his assassination is still in power 24 years later. I also read Charles Taylor played a role in the coup.
Props again for piquing my interest in Burkina Faso.![]()
Fuck all the white people that pratice, maintain and support the global, national and local system of racism/white supremacy!

Everybody knows Kim Jong Ill is far worse. Why don't we go get him? Why aren't we in the Congo? Yemen?
Bukina Faso stand up love this dude RIP Sankara
Never liked military men as leaders but Sankara had the heart and honesty we all wanted in our leaders. My buddy was in Ghana when Sankara died and when the word got out that he was assassinated all of the women on the market broke down, RIP Sankara.
