This the best Migos song they've ever made

No dog in the fight and damn sure ain't trying to disprove anybody. But you telling me a love n hip hop extra that ain't ever had a poppin song writes for 1 of the more popular groups of recent time?
He did a Vlad interview and basically hinted that he was living just as good as these rapper on the radio was living and that he had two joints on the charts at the same time and it's not Drake, who else could it be "The migos".

The song I posted of him,he took like two different joints and made it into his own, sorta what Drake,Beyonce,a few others did and borrowed the bounce sound; If he would of gave that song to someone else it would of been a hit but some artist are talented they just don't have enough of whatever to get the spotlight.

Now this would be something old head cats would like, got that old school Temptations Papa Was a Rolling Stone samp on it.
Avalanche by Migos :itsawrap:

Who you referring to?
I always thought Quavo had the swag, Offset had the delivery and punch lines, Takeoff had the overall best lyrics
Takeoff best overall. You can tell he thinks about what he puts on a track. Quavo best hooks and I don’t really care for Offset. Unc and Neff might make a good duo. I started listening to Takeoff when he dropped this line in Motorsport.

“If Nicki should show me her titty/Right hand on the Bible, I swear I won’t tell/If I get to play with that kitty/I wonder how many platinums we gon’ sell…”

#barrrrrs

Y’all sound old when you talk about hiphop not evolving or trashing everything. You think Rock talks about unique shit? How about country? What are you looking for exactly?
Some of us don’t use drugs or alcohol so our brains are on point and we not zoned out to listen to some of this garbage that be put out.. you ever been around drunk people and they words be slurring and they talk about random shit and laugh at the dumbest shit? Well I think you have to be under the influence and in that mode to actually enjoy some of this “music” of today.. even a lot of the artist will say they were under the influence when they created these songs so it make sense..it was great to them when brain went on leave but when it dosent it sounds like garbage

For me personally we just stuck in our old ways. It happens with all generation as you get older. Sometimes it takes the young O.G’s to connect the bridge to the O.G’s with an open mind. I’ve told plenty of stories what it was like in the club. Waka Flocka ass clap song or any crunk music bitches was throwing ass back!!

At the same time they suggest songs for me to check out such as this thread. I like the song, shout-out to Quavo for cutting that chick off and never looking back enjoy life young man!

It’s situational hiphop. When you out having drinks with your boys or at a strip club im not trying to hear shit about Quasars and Pressure Points of the 5 gods. Fuck all that. I want shit that slaps and is ignorant as fuck. Future is perfect for my debauchery.

Had one of those Halloween-sized Snickers bar edibles at a house party 4 - 5 years back.

I talk fast by nature ... but I was speaking in slow motion to my friends. All types of phisophical shit. Making all types of sense.

Told them I was so far gone.

:roflmao:

You can do this with this track

just notice it’s just overall way better

KRS is amongst the original HipHop lyricist, I'll give you that, no knock on his talent... I'll put JID up against him bar for bar

Like the song is correctly titled - Stop, these lyrics are bland they're no different than most the lyrics of today's music w/no profound punch lines... This the music they play when the lights cut on... I'll put J.Cole up against JayZ, and not even gonna mention Kendrick - easy work... My disclaimer - never been a fan of JayZ, overrated to me, great business acumen tho

I don’t think you get the point..he was saying he don’t won’t to hear a bunch of lyrical content..some shit you hear at a club or stripclub..I literally posted a track that will fall under a club song that don’t take itself seriously.. the beat and the reg punchlines is met for the club..that j cole track ain’t no club shit.. no bitch shaking her ass to that..beat mad bland

Disclaimer: I realize I got you mixed up with OP that said rap hasn't evolved since 2010 - my bad... I shouldn't have quoted you, my comment was a rebuttal to that, but regardless I stand on it... With that being said.........

Oh I got the point... I didn't post that video to say it's club music, of course it's not, just the same as that jayz track is not - which is why I said they'd play that joint when the lights cut on... I posted it because J.Cole's lyrics exceed the lyrics in the Jay-Z video... But being on topic, no hoes twerking to Jay-Z or J.Cole music over Future...

Overall my position is there are conscious rappers and regular rappers... Those of us that understand this enjoy the music for it's individualistic worth... Those that don't understand that, lump all current artist together and talk about "back in my day"...

No disrespect to Future. But to say no hoes twerking to Jay-Z songs over future? Maybe not in 2022 but in Jay-Z prime I was in spots where Hey-Papi, even dumb ass “upgrade you” by Beyoncé had them bitches jumping. Now don’t get me wrong Future same damn time was a banger in the club. It’s like me telling a old head Michael Jackson ain’t got shit on Chris Brown. That old head going to say MJ made people faint and cry!

Valid point... Shitt you can disrespect future, not really defending him, just saying his music is more likely to get the party vibes right vs a Jay-Z track...
But I will say I've never been a Jay-Z fan, even after listening to most his music growing up - I was more about Big L, Cam'Ron/Dipset, Lox, and Nas...

And that old head would be right MJ is incomparable - but Chris Brown is a hell of an artist in his own right (fan of both)...

OK, so I'm not going MADD! I listen twice thinking that I missed something.

blasphemy

I’ll let you in on a secret. Swizz buys beats from niggas and puts his drums stems in and removes the original. Nothing wrong with that most producers do it when you get in high demand. Only producers who I’ve seen that never did was Neptunes.
