The media wasn't taking him seriously. All they wanted was ratings. MSNBC changed their whole format to cover this clown. Either MSNBC or CNN one even admitted they were covering him for ratings. CNN was up 120% at one time. I turned the coverage off at first. Now that he is the actual nominee I have to pay a bit of attention tho. MSNBC did all that, pissed off their viewers especially after getting rid of MHP and now they are last out of all the networks.

4 channels. MSNBC came in last behind HLN also. The Zucker guy at cnn had a previous relationship with Trump because he was with NBC for his apprentice show. He is basically trying to turn the coverage into entertainment with a reality TV feel instead of news. Everyone else saw how well CNN was doing and followed suit. My thing is, now that they've gotten a taste of these ratings, they are going to keep being more and more outlandish for ratings and advertising dollars. They don't want that revenue stream to end.

But most of the country is moderate. Sanders ran in a primary with the most liberal group of voters possible. More Republicans voted in the primaries than Dems by far. There aren't more progressives out there to be had. Now you have to take your message to the middle of the country that like some Democratic ideas and like some Liberal ideas.
Remember when Obama got the ACA done? Voters swept the Dems out of power in one of the biggest landslides in history. So, you just can't go too far left or right.
