I can't believe it has come to this! A woman, who was brain-injured as a result of a car accident was sued by WALMART to recover the money they paid through her health insurance.

No words for that. That woman is brain damaged and will require life long care not to mention the hit her family has taken without her income and ongoing medical costs.

My colleague was discussing enrolling in a new dental plan. She was born with a cleft pallete- EVERY plan offered by the uni stated expressly that it would not cover costs associated with any congenital or pediatric condition. Basically fuck you if you were born needing help and as in the above example ^^^^ fuck you 2X should you be unlucky enough to fall ill as an adult.

Health insurance is just an industry to make profit. You have to fight with them to get anything more than your basic medical needs.
