...Whitney's version is by far the best, not because of her vocal skills, but the MUSICAL arrangement...the orchestration....its the combination of voice and instrument that makes it better...its the one thing that is missing in TODAY's music....Rap/Hip-Hop has become just vocals and beats, and little instrumentation at all....which is why so much of it sounds like garbage...there still are rock bands, metal bands, country & western bands...etc.,. but what happened to R&B bands like EWF, Cameo, Commodores,the TIME, Kool & the Gang,LTD, Lakeside,MAZE, Confunkshun, S.O.S., Parliament...etc....a lost art form...
