You already had 5G towers decades back & really didn't realize it. I'm sure you heard the news that T-Mobile & Sprint have merged, finally.
But if you go back a few years, you might remember when Sprint was pushing a stronger format over the brand-new 4G signal at that time. They called it WiMax.
WiMax was the first attempt at what became 5G but at the time, it wasn't ready for prime-time & failed due to the lack of penetration through most modern day walls or buildings, signals needing more antennas in a tighter space, the short stubby antennas needed that people considered an eyesore & lack of true broadband space (basically all the problems 5G has now...hmmm...).
Roll forward about a decade & the following is true: 4G bandwidth is getting limited, to the point that UHF frequencies were claimed to satisfy the demand of cellphones, Sprint is barely surviving but due to their merger with Nextel, carry the widest broadband channels for the next iteration of service (known as 5G), and everyone wants a piece.
Now T-Mobile has bought Sprint & what was the first thing they released? A statement stating that they are building their 5G capabilities IMMEDIATELY.
5G isn't just a signal, you know. That's just one part. It's more like a VPN, with parts & pieces that make it all work as one. Just receiving a signal isn't all there is to it, because it's maybe 5 phones that can handle a true 5G signal. And when I say handle, I mean send/receive, encrypt & decrypt, translate & not set your phone on fire.
The microwaves that 5G uses are long. The longer a microwave is, the less likely it is to harm you. Yes, the frequency can still cause problems but it's a ratio that if it gets harmful, you will know. It would cause mass illness & other problems. It wouldn't be a few people getting sick & everyone else is fine. It would be anyone in that general area. It would also more than likely be strong enough to scramble most terrestial signals.
I hope this has helped you all to not run with a half-assed conspiracy theory.
