Must be kids...I experienced the same thing when my parents relocated me and my brother to the Midwest during my high school years. But before then, I grew up in Gardena and used to attend Catholic school in Compton: St. Albert the Great and St. Mary.

Them kids from Kansas would ask me where I'm from and they would be like, "OMG! You're from Compton??!! Seriously??!!!

But it's good for any kid growing up in the hood to have an opportunity to move somewhere else and experience a whole new atmosphere. Otherwise, I probably would've eventually been another member of Gardena's Paybacc Crips.
