What SAS said has some .....repeat some validity. He is underestimating the international appeal of MLB. But...Ohtani is EXTREMELY limiting himself from a marketing standpoint because he is not able to speak English. And he plays for the Angels which will hurt his marketing due to his games starting at 10:10pm EST.

It’s more about personality/being marketable than not speaking English. Boban can barely speak English and he got commercials and movies. The Mike Trouts, Tim Duncans, Pete Sampras types had all time great talent and spoke english but weren't marketable since they were too boring
