They couldn't get the unanimous MVP to join them?

you don't even need to look close. just look right at the screen and not look for a reason to put down curry just because.
im sure if he was up there then they'd say "Well they probably had to beg him to do it" "i don't believe him, he's up there fake" "he probably read his lines from a prompt he could care less he just did it cause of xyz"

bills, that man's twitter is cleaner than than his wack white shoes

were any of those unanimous MVP and face of the league, bruh?

Ok... so in your opinion the only black players responsible for, or are respected enough and expect to stand up for our rights are the award winners? The other players are excused for their silence because they didn't win MVP last year? Their voices don't count and should not be pointed out because they aren't league MVPs?

the face of the league is just that - the face of the league. he represents the players and what the league stands for. You're not going to have 450 players on stage at the same time. You want the man who won MVP and represents the league. You expect someone of this stature to be out there to make a stand. Your point about other players is idiotic. Now why wasn't the face of the league out there?

I never said, you didn't have a valid question. However, according to your point, everyone else is exhaust from their responsibility to their people. So what you're saying then comma is being the face of the league, trumps your responsibility to your race. So a person's performance on the court, Trump's standing for your people. So other millionaires, people who have made millions and has become extremely rich from the ticket sales and Merchandising of their people don't have a responsibility to their people? The only thing that outrageous who is the MVP not speaking up, but you're not bothered by any of the other black people in the NBA who have not spoken up? It appears that's what you are saying. If not, again where are all the other threads about the other 99% of the League's black population that hasn't made a statement? You still haven't answer my question? I'll wait...

@lazarus. Also, based on your point, the only way anybody can make a statement as to stand on the stage? It's a lot easier to pull up your phone and type up a statement on Twitter or whatever. Who knows, their schedules might not have met his schedule, he could have had a prior engagement, could be out of the country. You don't know, but again, 99% of the league has said nothing, they haven't taken the time to pick up their phones and make a statement, or post on Facebook, nothing. But in your mind that is less of an outrage than somebody standing on a stage. That makes absolutely no sense, so again, where are the threads, and outrage, about the other players who can't even take a second out of their day to type of one line sentence on their Twitter Facebook or social media pages? Again, I will wait...

you keep deflecting the original point by worrying about everyone else. lol. we are talking about the mvp. stop doing that bitch shit. Why wasn't he up there?

I'm not the one that's looking, you are. Again, he wasn't up there, none of us know the reason. I gave examples of what could be possible reasons, but you keep dodging my question to you. You said my point about other celebrity players, millionaires, players who have made amazing Lifestyles for themselves off of the money black people spend on ticket sales, buying their merchandise and sneakers, is idiotic. How is that idiotic? So again like I said, I'm not absorbing stuff from anything, I don't know what his schedule is like, I don't know if he had prior engagement, I don't even know if he's in the country. Nobody knows anything. But again, help with that stage, leather repairs on vacation, has a prior engagement, and another city, whatever their cell phones or with them all the time. You don't have to get up on the stage and make a statement. Your statement can be just as strong by making a statement with millions of people can see it. So again I'm not the one deflecting, I'm not defending stuff at all, I'm asking you why is it less of an issue for you that none of the other millionaire black players couldn't take a second out of their day to type of statement on their phones so that there millions of followers who are responsible for their wealth can see the daycare. You're the one that's like them, answer my question which I've asked you 4 times already, where are the threads about those other players? Simple question bro, stop deflecting.

@lazarus. And frankly, The Original Point is your obsession with this guy. That's the original Point, that's why you avoid dealing with any of the other questions I ask you. Face of the league doesn't mean a damn thing when it comes to social issues like this. You're not observed because of an award you want playing basketball when is your people being attacked. And if that's your only point of contention, I think you need to find a new definition of idiotic, because that's some of the most stupid logic I've ever heard in my life. So again, where's your outrage for the countless other multi-millionaire players who have made their riches off of the money off us, not taking a split second to make a statement and a stand about these issues? Handle your business

wow...

I told Steph they were coming...

I REALLY hope this isn't what ya'll and EVERYBODY got from such an important and powerful moment.

I already answered your question about other players. The deflection is in your mind . They are not the face of the league. You have no excuse for curry and he hasn't said one thing about black lives matter.

...and my response was, based on what you are saying, Stephs status for his on court accomplishment trumps their responsibility to their race?!?! I don't have to make an excuse for Steph because I am not defending him or attacking him. So again, why aren't you outraged that other superstar black millionaires who have made their riches from the money their people spend supporting them, have not made a simple twitter, facebook, etc. statement about the issues we face? Why does it not bother you that they don't seem to give a fuck?

Not sure why that is such a difficult question for to answer? Fuck Steph, I'm coming at you about all of our celebrity 'HEROS' who haven't said shit that you seem to have done a great job avoiding speaking on.? Why doesn't that bother you enough to make a thread about them being silent?

So, what you are basically saying is, unless a player is MVP, or the 'face of the league' they shouldn't be expected to voice an opinion about how their people are being treated or their opinions don't matter?

Also @lazarus , please post the link to the article or interview where you got your information from indicating Curry knew about this event, was asked to join it and declined? Since your thread title speaks to them not being able to get him to join them, please provide support that he actually was approached and declined? Did LeBron, CP3, Melo, Wade, did ANY of them mention Curry specifically as not wanting to be involved even though he was asked?

Validation Link Sir... I'll wait

"Aye bruh.. we need you to join us tonight to speak on our community"

"Our community?"
Hilarious

You must not understand what leadership is or representation. Messages matter more when its given a face.presidents, CEO's, mayors, and they speak on the behalf of others. Its sad I have to explain this to you. Therefore as the face of a group or leader, your duty is to set an example. LeBron did that. Your question has been answered numerous times. I can't help it if your intellect doesn't understand

all that bullshit you typed, point blank. Does it bother you that a lot of the other stars haven't spoken up or not?

The brotha Steph don't need wack ass twitter or to brag about what he does. Him and his wife been doing major work in Africa for years. I wish people would stop thinking because someone does not chase the cameras does not mean they are not doing their part

The reality is this, it is easy to do work or something in Africa and most of all it is safe. White folk in America don't give a damn about Africa and whom ever is doing great work over there and they would even applaud the work being done. However try doing something for Africans in America and see how white folk respond to you. I don't say that deminsh the work the brother is doing in fact I applaud it but it is to say doing work there and doing it here is different both politically and socially.

What are y'all going to find to complain and make threads about Curry tomorrow? He doesn't wash his draws with detergent made by black ppl?

No for the exact reason I posted. Does it bother you the face of the league does not say anything?

It bothers me when any black person of influence avoids addressing these key issues that affect us..
I find it even more pathetic that your focus is a persons athletic achievements are viewed as higher on the priority chain, more than a black person of influences responsibility to speak to issues and join the cause...

The simple fact that you proudly trumpet that bullshit really show how pathetically out of touch you are mentally and how devoid of any common sense in the context of these issues you truly are. On that note, you and I really have nothing left to discuss.

I find your whole position beyond revolting and I actually feel sorry that your mind is so limited that you can't even see how profoundly ignorant you sound...

For you to proudly say you don't have an issue with people of influence who could unite, consolidate and make an impact as one voice, remaining silent is troubling... One day you will get you idiot wake up call... and realize there is more to life than the bullshit that you make a priority. You can't be no more than 15-16 and if you are, you need help... :smh:

Have a good day... We are really done here... :hmm:

That made no sense. And then you ran like a bitch lol the face of the league has a greater responsibility. Period. And he was nowhere to be found so yes I hold him in higher regard. No wonder you like Steph. You both put your head between your legs and run away flapping your arms

No external parameter has more responsibility to a race of people than those people within their own race... You are truly a damn fool... actually thats giving your dumb ass too much credit...

You keep talking and keep proving just how much of an imbecile you really are! Not sure when just because a person wins an athletic award they all of a sudden become a civil rights leader but in your pathetic little world THATS whats important.... I swear Ive seriously never engaged someone so supremely stupid and as void of commonsense as you are.... An MVP award trumps responsibility to ones race...

Sad thing is, you think Im joking with you but I really feel sorry for people who are amazingly stupid and dont know it...

You are a joke and a waste of breath. I would say brain cells but youve proven you dont have enough to waste with the idiotic logic that swirls around in that half a brain you have clown....

The only thing lame is your juvenile hero worship...
Sound like my 10 year old nephew with that dumb shit! Like I said, its really tragic when someone has to go through life being so stupid and so far out of touch with reality they create a lil fantasy world for themselves and convince themselves they arent as stupid and borderline retarded... Your logic is so teenage like it ls really sad... Hopefully you get the help you need. I really feel sorry for you when you dumb ass gets a real world reality check lil guy. :smh:

its programming and so called progressive awoke black people don't even know they still programmed too
Them niggaz are so fucking annoying. And they love to slander those who are about organizing for real change instead of sitting on freeways all day like that changes anything. For real deep down they don't really seek change, all they want is acceptance from their white daddy and a lil bullshit title with ZERO power at his company along with a pat on the head.
