Sometimes it's not about representation or diversity at all.
Sometimes it's just about recreating the original vision of the writer/creator as accurately as possible.

- I don't watch "Dracula" looking to see minority representation.
- I don't watch "Frankenstein" looking for Asian/Hispanic inclusion.
I mean seriously, there are no Black people in this immensely profitable, popular movie trilogy either...

Excuse me but did y'all miss these two posts? It's EUROPEAN history. Middle Earth and all that is European history and not African or Asian. They threw in some fictional fantasy elements of course but being inclusive and PC and all that is a fairly recent phenomenon especially in Hollywood. Besides slavery and Jim Crow in the states we weren't around in certain areas especially Europe.
Now if these shows get deeper into the Moorish influence at least in regards to European history then that would be closer to historical accuracy.
Y'all did the same with Quentin Tarantino and his excessive N word usage in Django. He definitely went overboard but for that time period historically it did fit.
The African character played by Djimon Honsou in Gladiator was from Africa back in ancient Rome which once again was in Europe but historically it made sense.
Not making excuses for a minimal black cast but for the genre and the history involved it does make some historical sense.
Edit: Forgot about ancient Egypt which is still Africa but that's an earlier time period. For historical accuracy any films about ancient Egypt should have a majority black cast.
