The real issue is the Stand your ground laws. we have to work to get those laws removed from the books. How the hell did stand your ground become law anyways..
U basically can start a fight, shoot someone, kill them then yell self defense and get off scot free. It encourages people to use Deadly force when it shouldnt be used.
Take action against Stand your ground laws first.

the jury voted to acquit because the state did NOT prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt... that's called, "jury instructions."

THE BURDEN OF PROOF IS ON THE STATE. understand that the defense doesn't have to say shit. and this prosecution team had no theories of how things went, rebutted NOTHING... and only provided a nice closing argument.
this team was so pitiful that the defense could have went totally silent after their case... and there were holes everywhere for reasonable doubt. the prosecution did NOT connect any dots. none.

the jury probably did NOT believe zimmerman, but zimmerman doesn't have to take the stand.
but with a weak prosecution, and them basically going along with the defense's version of the events, reasonable doubt is EASILY attainable without going BEYOND much thought.

don't forget... it took outrage to even bring this case to court. did you think it would be easy for the state to bring a conviction?
there was a lawyer on earlier who presented EXACTLY how to FORCE zimmerman to take the stand and explain self defense.
then, she said that because he'd be forced to defend his own words, you could actually use HIM on the ground so that he could show the court and the world how he pulled the gun with Trayvon on-top of him (if that's how it happened).
then, she proceeded to FULLY destroy this prosecution team... showing how they fucked up really bad with this case. but people are focused on the SYG law, the jury, and even the judge.
the burden of proof is on the state.
the jury has to convict based on evidence presented beyond a reasonable doubt.
this prosecution team left MONSTROUS holes open for reasonable doubt... so "not guilty" was basically the only way to go bc the trial was so one-sided (defense's favor).

I hate to say this but this is black america's payback for OJ Simpson. True enough we've had many innocent black people prosecuted, but none that was advertised so publicly. We all were happy he got off even though deep down we knew he did it, that is exactly how white people are feeling now. They know what he did was wrong but they are just glad they can "spit in the face" of our race. The world has a way of evening things out though, OJ is in prison. Not for the crime that he committed, but a crime nonetheless. Zimmerman will have to answer for what he did in due time. In the mean time, please everyone who is upset with this verdict, stop sending threats over social media. People do not understand that they will somehow use all that as "proof" of self-defense the next time Zimmerman kills a kid.
So can someone tell me why there was two shots? Because doesnt that hold extreme signifigance, what was Zimmerman's excuse for having to fire two times as I hear in the audio.

Last night reminded me of Obama getting elected twice. A lot of "cool" white folks' true colors came out, once again. One even told me "We don't truly know what happened, because we weren't there." which is true, so I said, "We weren't at Nicole Brown Simpson's condo that night either, but that didn't stop you from calling OJ a murderer." Lester is fine, just a bit sore and he will feel it tomorrow, the woman who attacked him was white and yelled something like "it's all your fault" before she hit him, he went down hard but was halfway caught by Barren, thank God, she was subdued by Police and taken away while the para-medics came and took him to a local Hospital where he went thru a series of cat scans, no broken bones, the only injury for now is a 8" scratch in the kidney area of his back and it's starting to swell. Thank you for all your well wishes, he will be up and running soon.
Lester has fallen on hard times recently and has been fighting Columbia Records for back royalties. Chambers is to release a new album soon. The sessions were funded by a Kickstarter project led by Alexis Ohanian (Reddit co-founder) after a recent post on Reddit went viral.
