This isn't a reply to you, this is me just being petty...how is AEW trolled about being "where the best wrestle" and he's as high up as he is?

Again sorry, that just chaps my ass that one company can botch matches, but amazingly another companies botches are overlooked. Botched spots are just a name of the game in what wrestling has become. But has NOTHING to do with what we're talking about so thank you for indulging my petty.

The booking is creating those matches that is gonna have this doofus try these movesets that doesn't suit him. They go over all this in the booking, Promos really aren't fair as A LOT of them are being done live. The luxury of having them taped so they can be redone and edited gives an unfair advantage.

Is LA Knight the equivalent to a Ricky the Dragon Steamboat. That depends. A one to one translation? GOD NO!!!! The caliber of what a Ricky the Dragon Steamboat was is what I meant. His most memorable matches are for second tier titles while never holding a first tier title. LA Knight had some really good matches in NWA so I know he can go, it's just the company he works for gives a rushed product. Eating at Morton Steakhouse versus Outback versus McDonalds. The best you're going to get nowadays is an Outback-like match doesn't matter what promotion. The problem is WWE specializes more in McDonalds than Outback and that isn't his fault.

*Ricky did hold a first tier title for NWA and that was his only World Heavyweight title
Very good points. As far as AEW, we know what AEW is, we know what we wanted it to be, it is not that lol.

Eli Drake is waaaay better than LA Knight. I haven't been on board with LA since his first year, it feels like he's trying hard to fit what he thinks they want, instead if just being himself and in doing so has gotten into his head, which shows in the ring, and I'm sure their feedback aint helping as we saw on Unreal.

Didn't know about him being champ in TNA/Impact since hardly anyone watches it anymore, lol.
Curious to know how successful and how long his title reign was.

It wasnt the Impact championship when he won it, it was thr GFW Global championship and he had it for 4 or 5 months. I think is was a battle royal or a gauntlet match.

*edit*
Yeah it was a gauntlet match

Dude, if you see it. If I see it. If EVERYBODY sees that over TELEVISION...why haven't they sat him down and helped him? Get him a sport psychologist! But again, they don't want a Eli Drake (Outback match) they need LA Knight (McDonalds match)

My guess, his age....and when you factor in the up and comers, he's just not a priority. So they'll get what they can out of him and keep it moving.

The guy is my age.
If he hasn't figured shit out in the wrestling business by now, he probably never will.
It's not WWE's job to get in his head to find out why he constantly botches during matches and in his promos.
They've got younger talent to push and get over for the future, along with established vets who pull in way more money than him.

Bobby Roode was cleared to wrestle again but he probably realized the best he was ever gonna be on the main roster was a midcarder so he went into production. Smart move. He can have that job for the next 20 years.

MOST wish they had that ability. I was suggesting in terms of what Ricky Steamboat was high mid-carder.
In ring Ricky Steamboat put together some great matches and was one of the best without ridiculous high spots. In any era he can go but in terms of promos he's the epitome of a white meat babyface. Other than stripping Ric Flair's clothes off he had no edge to himself

All I notice is Kelani in the top row. Middle row is great and the future GOAT:hmm: at the bottom.

For the great job the E does at recruiting women, they suck at recruiting male talent. Unless they're Black of course.
