Not surprising the guy who wrestled an 8 year old girl and a blow up doll is infatuated with prepubescent-looking girl wrestlers. :rolleyes2:

Who cares? That still doesn't discount the toxic hate that Joshi wrestlers face with the cesspool Cornette marks in America. It's really disgusting.

I can see Ali doing almost like Cody did, where he goes on the indy circuit, develops his character and comes back to WWE in a few years as a bigger star.
He's good on the mic and can work so there's definitely the potential there.

Shelton still looks great, can work, but his weak mic skills is what's always held him back.
I could see him maybe doing a tour of Japan for a bit where promo skills aren't that important and then maybe coming back to WWE as a producer/agent in the future.
I thought NXT would have been a place Ali could have excelled. I felt like they often cut him short of building any real momentum. Also I can see Shelton Benjamin in Impact for some reason, not AEW but if he did I would like to see him along side Swerve in his faction as the muscle.

You have to have the "Total Package"* to succeed inn the WWE and most American promotions you have to show Size Strength Agility but most important since the Attitude Era you have to be able to cut a Promo. Look at Braun Strowman he looks the part but cant cut a promo same with Karrion Kross and up until recent Drew McIntyre., they did a good hiding some guys like Kane but the Fans want more.
Some guys arent WWE material, I dont think Kenny Omega is anything special on the Mic and because of that he wouldnt be as big a star in WWE as NJPW. Cody sucked left and developed his Promo skills and now is a Rockstar.
Guys like Ricochet, Ali, Andrade, Wardlow and Hobbs can all learn from Cody on how to rebrand yourself out of mid card status.

*pun intended I was a huge Luger and 4 horseman mark if you cant tell my love for stables,

Does Asuka know how to cut a great Promo? Didn't stop her from being a multiple World Champion.

It's more of a gimmick and in ring problem with Strowman and Kross. Their gimmicks are boring and they're average in the ring. That's why they're not succeeding.

Kenny in WWE would be similar to AJ Styles in WWE.

Rockstar? I wouldn't say that. He's just on a bigger platform. It's the same Cody that was getting booed in AEW.

Thats part of Asuka appeal the lack of english its the Japanese version of a "Wild" Somoan or George the Animal Steele type Grunting and Growling instead of speaking English

I think AJ is better than Kenny on the Mic. Kenny would be more like Finn Balor. Great inside the ring Avg on the Mic, you put a belt on him but it wouldnt be a good title reign a little stale and stagnant.

Once you Main Event Wrestlemania that puts your career into another stratosphere.

The problem with Strowman and Kross are too many gimmicks let them be who they are Monsters/Killers but give them a mouthpiece or a big boob distraction.

Cody became John F. Kennedy down to the cadence he delivers his lines.I don't know how it's working but it is.

Wow, that's pretty insulting to her.

I think AJ is better than Kenny on the Mic.

I don't see it but to each's own.

Balor isn't in the same league as Kenny. Not even close. Also, what makes a good title reign is dependent upon the stories being told and the opponents being working with.

Why was that?

It ran it's course and started to come off like Hogan's "vitamins, training and prayers" goody two shoes bullshit. The fans wanted Cody to turn heel and have more of an edginess to him but he wouldn't do it so they booed his ass out of the promotion. It's like when Vince kept shoveling babyface Roman down people's throats. The fans pushed back against that shit and Roman didn't finally get accepted until he turned heel. Cody's babyface schtick is working now because he hasn't been back long enough for people to get bored of it.

They won’t. He’s a natural babyface, like Cena….by this time next year, Cody will have been in WWE damn near as long as his AEW run. I remember them booing Cody early on in his run at AEW, especially when he had that stipulation of never competing for their world championship.

Cody chose wisely in refusing to go heel. AEW fans have only themselves (and TK) to blame for Cody leaving. He’s thriving in WWE as a face in ways he never would have had he listened to the AEW neckbeards.

Lolz WWE should be petty and bring back Stone Cold’s podcast and have her on….

Was Ace Steel's wife in the lockeroom when that all went down? If not then all she's gonna give you is Ace Steel's side of the story and if the truth sides with the Elite you won't hear her speak at all about it.

I personally couldn't care less about Cody leaving. Was NEVER high on my list of wrestlers I enjoyed watching.

I went back and watched this week AEW Dynamite!!...It was alright!!...The wrestling fans in Oklahoma City was hyped!!. .They were really into the show and had a good time!!..The matches were good as well...I really like the Jay Lethal vs Mark Briscoe match!!..Also, that Swerve vs Rush match was good as well...The segment with MJF and Swerve was nice!!...The last match with Moxley vs Jay White was cool..I had a feeling they were going to put a twist in that tournament and next week on Dynamite we got a 3-way..

It was a good Dynamite show!!..

Merry Christmas Fellas!!..

Interesting morning for wrestling news. Not only is Hiroshi Tanahashi the new President of New Japan (NJPW) but All Japan Professional Wrestling (AJPW) has struck an working agreement with WWE/NXT. Crazy shit! Nick Khan/Triple H opening up the Forbidden Door of WWE. Next step get a working agreement with Stardom.

It's working in WWE not AEW. That goody two shoes shit got old real quick in AEW.
As opposed to what that's actually working in AEW right now?
You still need babyfaces in wrestling, whether they are "goody two shoes" babyfaces or babyfaces with a little edge.
Everyone can't be a heel. That's everyone's go-to crutch whenever a character change is suggested.
Cody didn't want to turn heel in AEW like the fans wanted because he knows AEW fans especially are very fickle and only live in the now rather than planning anything long-term.
He also likely knew he was headed to WWE and didn't want to come back to WWE off a heel run.

Almost anyone is better on the mic than Kenny. He's actually amongst the worst IMO.
I can never take anything he takes seriously and every "promo" he does sounds like he's trying to recite Shakespeare poetry.

It's not too surprising. HHH envisioned NXT being a global brand in different markets. The UK version didn't work out the first time, but I can see them revisiting it.

I think HHH is just as big of a wrestling fan as Tony Kahn, except he doesn't wear his on his sleeve like Kahn does and HHH actually knows the business.

He needed a fresh start. He and Brandy had so many bad segments that you would think Vince was writing for him. Not turning heel is a screw you if you're not moving Cena levels of merch.
Honestly, having Brandy around in all those cringe-ass segments was the death of Cody in AEW.
I'm not sure even turning heel there would have saved him.
I'm hoping they keep Brandy far away from Cody in WWE although I thought I heard she was seen training at the PC.

In today's age it's all about tweeners. Meaning at any point in time a person can turn good or bad depending on the story or circumstance. All the main event talent in AEW with the exception of Jay White are tweener types.

MJF
Kenny Omega
Jon Moxley
Hangman Page
Bryan Danielson
Adam Cole
Will Ospreay
Chris Jericho

Everyone can't be a heel. That's everyone's go-to crutch whenever a character change is suggested.

You're right not everyone can be a heel but that old 80's Hogan pure babyface model is outdated. Just be a tweener.

No, they just want something that comes off relatable instead of phony Tony Robbins speak. That's why the fans cheer and relate so much to Eddie Kingston.
