I really don't get the appeal of Riho. She about the same size as my 13 year old daughter. I always look at (male) wrestling fans that love her work a certain way.
LOL, every time I see her on TV I always think who let this 12 year old girl get in the ring and wrestle.
And she always has that same confused look on her face.
A female wrestler's size never concerned me. If you can work you can work. Doesn't matter how small you are. Those old sexist Vince McMahon/Jim Cornette perceptions of what a women’s wrestler should look like need to die. Riho can't help it that she's small that same way Rey Mysterio can't help it that he's small. You are what you are and your size shouldn't stop you if you want to be a successful professional wrestler.

Yes, there are outliers like Muggsy Bogues and Spud Webb, but they are the rare exception.
Size matters in wrestling and you're not going to be taken seriously when you weigh 80lbs soaking wet.
Even with Rey, the only reason he got that big push and won the title at WM was because of Eddie's death.
Rey at least looks like he throws weight around in the gym.
Riho looks like she plays on the JV golf team at her high school....

It's not about being allowed to play in the NBA it's about having the skill level necessary to play in the NBA. If you had handles like Tim Hardaway, passing ability like John Stockton and scoring ability like Issah Thomas. YOU would be in the NBA regardless of your size. Never automatically discredit yourself because of size.

Size doesn't matter in wrestling because we're talking about a fake scripted sport that has people with supernatural comic book gimmicks. Once you allow that shit in you can't come back and say Riho can't be taken serious or isn't realistic because of her size. Professional wrestling isn't real combat sports. It will never be 100% realistic nor it should be.
His New Japan run was insane. Would love to see him back reaching his full potential.
I think it's just the princess get-up she uses. She should switch it up for American audiences. She's no smaller than some of top women in WWE. Hell Alexa Bliss was running around knocking bitches out with one punch not too long ago.
These WWE re-signings are no surprise. Where else are they going to go? None of them come off with the need to wrestle everyone and everywhere in their career.
Do like Mercedes and test yourself against the best women's wrestlers in the world in "Stardom" THEN come back to WWE.

Yeah I'm just surprised at a lot of people on X and Reddit who act surprised that some of these people re-signed. Mercedes always spoke about her love for joshi wrestling and wanting to wrestle in Japan. Her leaving is no surprise. She's young, of course she'll be back eventually.
Charlotte has never wrestled outside of WWE and became a wrestler later in life after her brother's death. She's never leaving. Becky did the indies, than quit and finally got into WWE. She's never leaving either. Bayley I will say I would not have been surprised if she had left and tried another promotion for a bit. She's friends with a lot of non WWE wrestlers. But she's has a hot streak going now, so I understand.

Let's see what Shelton and Ali can do at this stage. Sheldon as an elder statesman or Ali as a relatively younger that can go back and have a lengthy careers.
In a dream scenario, Trinity and Sasha return. Whether together or on their own respective angles.
Now I'm nuts when I book stories. I can imagine and match where it's Cody and Brandy vs Jey USO and Trinity where it begins as friendly competitive scrimmage angle that results in a heel turn at a PLE event setting up a feud.

Not surprising the guy who wrestled an 8 year old girl and a blow up doll is infatuated with prepubescent-looking girl wrestlers.
I can see Ali doing almost like Cody did, where he goes on the indy circuit, develops his character and comes back to WWE in a few years as a bigger star.
He's good on the mic and can work so there's definitely the potential there.
Shelton still looks great, can work, but his weak mic skills is what's always held him back.
I could see him maybe doing a tour of Japan for a bit where promo skills aren't that important and then maybe coming back to WWE as a producer/agent in the future.
