Xia is the Asian chick they did the comic book looking vignettes for on Smackdown.
They had him as the 2nd for Joe Gacy's whole cult bullshit where talks about safe spaces and God knows what else. Supposedly he wasn't picking up things in ring as expected considering his amateur pedigree. From his matches he was doing bare minimum. He wasn't even throwing many kicks and punches.
Dakota Kai is a small and first got attention as someone that Shayna Bazler roughed up to the point that Kai was scared of her for months. She did a good job being sympathetic and it helped Shayna come off as even more of a badass prick. Eventually standing up for herself got her firmly established a face until she made a huge heel turn at WarGames on her best friend. Solid in the ring and could be a heel or facebut maybe not someone that looks a future superstar. In real life her and Shayna are now a couple.
Bivens was being wasted so hopefully he can go somewhere where his talents as a manager can be better utilized. He wasn't interfering in matches, he wasn't cutting promos like that. He was just kind of there.
It's just weird that they gave up on him so fast.
They signed him Feb '21, had him on TV by the fall, rushed him out just to give him another "big, violent, weird MF" gimmick and then act surprised that it didn't get over just like it how didn't work for the last 10-15 people they had with similar gimmicks.
They gotta wait some shit out at least.

Disco was a joke of a talent but dude has a ton of wrestling knowledge. I'm not saying I cosign everything he says, but I'll agree with his take over Omega's any day of the week....

Omega has just as much wrestling knowledge as Disco and guess what? He's been World Champion in four different promotions while Disco couldn't get out the mid card in WCW. I tend to value the take of those who have actually made it to the top over mid card has beens with shitty podcasts.

Putting Disco, Jake Roberts and Dean Malenko in the same conversation is CRAZY! I agree with the argument that Japanese wrestling doesn't translate well to ALL audiences here in the States but him attacking them for some of the crazy comedic matches he has had is the pot calling the kettle black. This is the guy who had a Saturday Night Fever gimmick damn near 20 years AFTER the movie came out and then kept it going another 10-20. He really shouldn't be giving hot takes like this.
Also North America is composed of three countries two of which would care about about those three promotions Kenny won titles in.
Phil was a good coach. Give credit where it's due. Yes, his teams were filled with tons of talent, but dude also had to make all those egos work together.

It's no more corny or silly then the stuff we get in American wrestling, dinosaurs, zombies, walking dead-men, dudes losing both eyes then they grow back. Some wrestling is silly and goofy and that's ok.
