Nash's comments are so funny considering that his WWF career started on the back of a guy who was... kind of small... Sean Michaels... :smh:

Chavo Guerrero Sr. & JR Respond To Nash’s Rant

Chris Jericho and Kevin Nash have also had heated discussions via Twitter in the last 24 hours since the comments were made.

http://www.prowrestlingscoops.com/wwe/wwe-news/chavo-guerrero-sr-jr-respond-to-nashs-rant/

WWE star Chris Jericho responded via Twitter to Kevin Nash's statement in a Grantland.com interview that the business died when Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit hugged at the end of WrestleMania 20
"Funny how @realkevinnash says wrestling 'died' when Benoit and Guerrero were champs - Yet the worst year for WWE biz was '95 when he was on top."

WWE legend Kevin Nash responded to Chris Jericho pointing out that WWE business was at its worst when Nash wore the WWE Championship in 1995.
"Once again the puppet master pulls the mark strings," Nash wrote. "Knew Jericho was a closet mark. First one eliminated on a bullshit sing show...REALLY!!"

Chris Jericho kept his Twitter exchange with Kevin Nash going via his latest Tweet:
"Hope (Nash) doesn't tear his quad tweeting! #typicalbigman #nwothirdwheel"

WWE's booking committee are contemplating a scenario where CM Punk would drop the WWE Championship to John Cena at SummerSlam to set up a rematch between Cena and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson at Royal Rumble-Johnson announced at Raw 1,000 that he would face whomever the WWE Champion is at the January pay-per-view event. Johnson would defeat Cena at the Rumble and then defend the title against Punk at WrestleMania XXIX.

They haven't had a decent hell in a cell since the gamecube games, on the cube the cell had a lot more room on the outside which was great for tag/fatal four ways.

If Xbox Live & PSN were smart they would put an updated No Mercy out for a downloadable purchase. An updated No Mercy would sell like crack.

I've been treating the WWE games like Madden by only buying them every few years as opposed to every year. I was tired of buying the game every year only for it to be a roster update and minimal changes.

I think they fuck up the potential quality of the game by trying to produce a title every year.

So I give them a year or two to polish up their graphics, mechanics and shit, maybe an extra year if they added some new technology, and that makes me feel like when I buy the new game that I'm truly getting an upgraded game.

I think the last one I bought was 2010, so I might cop '13.

Well Rosa wasn't with Epico and Primo tonight because apparently she has accused her fiance, a former WWE wrestler known as Jackson Andrews aka Tyson Kidd's bodyguard, of committing domestic violence against her.

Wow. I noticed she wasn't there but I hadn't seen why.

If Punk beats Rock, that's perfect but seeing how far away that is, we'll see. I'm glad to see them doing some long term booking like they used to do but a lot of shit can happen in 8 months.

More on Nash

KEVIN NASH RESPONDS TO HIS CRITICISM, EXPLAINS WHY HE WAS PULLED FROM THE RING DURING THE CM PUNK FEUD AND MOREby Mike Ryker @ 3:26 PM on 8/9/2012

"Big Sexy" Kevin Nash was on Busted Open with Dave Lagreca and Doug Mortman.. You can hear Busted Open from 2-4 ET on Sirius 94, XM 208, and Sportszone 860 on the internet.
On his recent comments about the size of today’s top guys: "I’m talking about them as wrestlers, I’m talking about them as their wrestling persona as far as visual. I’m not talking about anything [else]. I’ve stated before, these guys are incredibly great technical wrestlers. All of them. But there’s a reason why Chrisitan Bale in Batman has armor on and is bigger than life. There’s a reason why in all these Marvel movies if [the guys] don’t have gigantic muscles and aren’t oversized, they’re CGIs. I don’t remember Stan Lee when he started Marvel Comics making a 5-foot-7 guy."

Note from Mike Johnson: Peter Parker was a puny teenager when he became Spider-Man and Wolverine is 5'3"!

On Shawn Michaels succeeding despite not being a ‘big guy’: "Shawn Michaels was 6-foot-1 and a half and weighed 225 pounds in his prime. That’s a big difference between 5-foot-7. That’s a difference between a 6-foot-8 power forward and a 7-foot-1 center. CM Punk doesn’t have Shawn Michaels’ physical ability. I mean, Vince Carter and [Michael] Jordan are the same size."

On the PG Era and CM Punk: "I think the number one thing that hurts still is the fact that they’re PG. I’m a huge fan of Punk’s [but] I’m sorry, it’s hard for me to watch two grown men say they’re going to beat the crap out of each other. That’s my personal opinion. I’m also saying that it doesn’t look to me like he spends a lot of time in the weight room. I just think it would enhance his look and everything. We were all drug free and drug tested for years at the WWE, and there were a lot of guys that had great physiques. I think that comes with it."

On the widespread reaction his comments received: "You guys aren’t backstage, you guys aren’t around when the brass makes decisions. You guys aren’t around when they all say, ‘God, I wish he was bigger,’ [or] ‘God yeah, but the guy just doesn’t have enough size.’ It’s their opinion. I’m just stating my opinion. I’m not saying I’m right. But am I not allowed my opinion? I pay taxes, I’m allowed my opinion. In my opinion, that’s how I feel. That doesn’t mean anybody else has to jump aboard and say I have to agree with him because he says so. Number one, I’ve always been an Internet darling and always will be and if I were to say something and was just somebody that didn’t have an opinion, you wouldn’t be calling me. It’s just because Kevin Nash said it. Oh my God, Kevin Nash said it. Oh my God, Jericho rebutted. For Eddie [Guerrero] and Chris [Benoit], Eddie was a friend [and] Chris was a friend. When the tragedy went down with Benoit I think I was one of the few guys that went on TV and tried to make some sense of it. These people that think I’m desecrating deceased wrestlers; I’m talking about them as [wrestlers] and not the person. Sometimes I look at it and I just go you know what, don’t even have an opinion, be a sheep like everybody else."

On Chris Jericho’s tweet that the worst year of WWE business was when he was champion: " Absolutley disagree. When I walked in the door in 1993, we did a $100,000 gate at Madison Square Garden. My last show at the Garden we did $309,000 before I jumped to WCW and I was in the main event with Shawn Michaels. I absolutely disagree. The business was better when I left than when I got there."

On if the company’s future is in good hands with Triple H: "Absolutely. I think he’ll change the product in the way that he feels is good to change the product. I don’t think the product will stay the same. I think that he has a different vision than other people do. I’m just saying other people; I mean, Vince isn’t the only one that is in the meetings and has a voice. There’s other people. Kevin Dunn . . . There’s a lot of people that have a voice in that company."

On John Cena: "I think he’s fantastic. I think he’s stayed true, I think he’s playing the hardest part in wrestling which is the white-meat babyface. He never looks anything but fantasitc. Even though he’s not a giant, tall man, he has a bigger than life personality."

On a problem WWE has that many people don’t realize: "The biggest problem that the WWE probably has right now, and which people don’t think about, is they’ve got guys down there that have been on handheld cameras for 25 years. It’s not easy to shoot pro wrestling. Somebody sooner or later has to take Kerwin [Silfies’] spot, has to take Dunn’s spot in those trucks [and] has to make those incredible last-second calls that makes a near-miss look like the person gets their head taken off. Their prodcution alone is impeccable. When you look at the company and the scope of its international ability and everything that it does, it’s beyond first-rate."

On if the WWE went in a different direction because of MMA: "No. I think what happened is MMA got hot, and just like anything else, you buy a $60 fight, it goes a minute and 12 seconds, [and] you’re not that apt to buy another $60 fight the next month. This is where I’ll always say pro wrestling will always have a great advantage. If it’s The Rock vs. Cena at WrestleMania, you know it’s not going a minute and a half. You know it’s going to go 20-25 minutes. You go to a movie and you know the action on the movie is not real [and] yet you’re enthralled, you have complete escapism. I think that’s what pro wrestling gives you, it gives you that escapism. It gives you that ability to watch a main event for 30 minutes and feel like you’ve got your money’s worth."

On the essence of his comments: "Number one, one of the classic stories of all-time is always going to be David and Goliath. Now I doubt it would be a biblical story if it was David vs. David. I think that you always need that bigger than life [wrestler], especially in a heel role. I always want the heel to be bigger than the babyface . . . That’s my preference. I hated playing the babyface. I never liked the role because it just doesn’t make sense; they end up working your leg for 20 minutes because they’re not gong to be able to pick you up and throw you around. It just doesn’t work."

On if he has an issue with CM Punk: "Yeah, I have such an issue with him that we fell asleep next to each other in the locker room in London and I knew he had a bad back and I made sure that he got up so he wouldn't have to be in too much pain. I hung around with him most of the time that I was on the Europeran trip. I talked to him on a daily basis. We were handed edits to our live intereviews 30 seconds before we went on live to Raw and basically had the ability to look at each other like we’re going out into a fox hole together. I have nothing but respect for Phil, I’ve said that a million times."

On his feud with CM Punk last year: "I think I was so rusty; I basically spent five years doing taped interviews. I was so out of my element and plus, it’s very controlled. It’s not like it used to be where you just kind of went out there and were able to wing it. I never felt comfortable in my element one time. I was told by Vince not to yell. ‘Don’t yell,’ ‘Don’t do this,’ ‘Your cadence is too slow.’ I was like, ‘Dude, I’ve been doing this for 25 years I talk like this.’ So it was difficult for me, I’m not going to say it wasn’t. It never felt comfortable, and you walk in the door and you don’t know anybody. I’m not saying that it was a bad experience, I wish I could have done the favor for Phil. I wish we could have had the match and I wish I could have put him over."

On why he was pulled from the feud: "What happened was I was on Plavix. And the WWE wellness doctor said that there was a chance that if I was to get an internal injury or something like that during the match that I could bleed out and die. So they had to pull me and get me off Plavix whatever the amount of time was and by that time, Triple H had to fight Punk."

On the ‘What’ chants: "The ‘What’ chants go away if you can combat them, but if you can’t say anything that’s beyond PG then you can’t . . . it’s horrible. It’s just one of those things where it takes away so much from the show, it just makes you feel like you’re watching a circus sometime. It’s horrible. It sold T-shirts but you know what? It’s the only thing Steve did wrong."

If he just stuck to the idea of wrestlers being "bigger than life" he has a great point but he's mixing in actual size and that makes his point dead wrong. Benoit was never a great personality but people bought his bad ass attitude and he was an awesome worker. Guerrero had the talent and had the personality to go with it so Nash is dead wrong on his specifically. In fact, once Benoit lost the title he never looked like he was getting it back but Guerrero was all set to get another run before he died.
No Punk doesn't have Michaels' physical ability but he shits all over him as a personality and promo. You can go further back and it's undeniable that Rick Steamboat had more physical ability than Ric Flair, Flair even says it, but Flair had the personality that made him a multi time world champion in two different national companies. Not one of the four guys I mentioned was a huge guy with Flair often being much smaller than most of his opponents.

If Xbox Live & PSN were smart they would put an updated No Mercy out for a downloadable purchase. An updated No Mercy would sell like crack.

I never thought of that but it makes perfect sense, i've played that new wrestlefest and personally it's not touching the classic version.

Washington noted on Twitter he would doing stand up comedy going forward and cracked, "If you think that Kobe joke was bad wait till you hear my Vince jokes."

 I hate PG wrestling.

Good luck to AW in the future. Jericho shits on a country's flag and he still working. AW cracks a joke and he gets a pink slip:angry:. What Jericho did was worse IMO. TNA should pick him up and pair him with The Pope.

I miss the days of old when we had Ernie Ladd making fun of rednecks and native americans, Mr. Fuji calling Bob Backlund a honky, Booker T calling Hogan a nigga, Russian and Arab wrestlers shitting on America, and Tully Blanchard slapping Baby Doll. I miss the old days:(:(

Exclusive: Extremely Low Morale In WWE + Travel/Pay Issues
Source: WZROnline.com

In addition to the aforementioned JTG/WWE management story, we can exclusively report that numerous other talents in WWE are becoming increasingly frustrated with the balance between what they are paid, what they should be paid, and everything that goes into being a WWE Superstar on the road. Specifically mid-card WWE stars don’t like the fact that they are forced to pay for their own travel expenses, all-the-while the pay offs they receive for the live events they are traveling to continues to dwindle. Issues such as health care not being covered by the company, travel expenses being put on the talent, etc. continue to result in morale amongst the wrestlers dropping at a rapid level. As we exclusively noted in our previous post, we have confirmed that Zack Ryder, Santino Marella, Curt Hawkins, Tyler Reks and MANY others including WWE Divas are very upset with the company right now.

As noted, during WWE’s recent tour of Brazil, mid-card wrestlers who used to get $2,000-$4,000 for live events saw a huge decrease as they only received $500 for their work on the other side of the country. After receiving such a small pay off, the talent went back on the road, where they are forced to pay for their own rental cars, hotels, food and other expenses. Talent deals with this as part of the life of a WWE Superstar on the road, but have to deal with ranking issues. They see producers/agents have their travel expenses taken care of while they ride private jets and limousine’s to the arena. Stars higher up on the card, such as John Cena, CM Punk and The Big Show have their own personal buses owned by WWE to travel in. Meanwhile, the mid-card and lower-tier talent in the company have to rent cars out-of-pocket, while enduring financial issues stemming from decreasing pay offs by the company. We’re told travel for all producers/agents and management (guys who don’t even wrestle) is covered by the company while mid-card guys sit in economy/coach during their flights. Economy class, also called coach class, is the lowest travel class of seating in air travel, rail travel, etc. Many feel there is no excuse for this as WWE makes millions of dollars and these are the guys who are on the road 200+ days per year with little time off. They feel they deserve better considering they put their bodies through hell on a weekly basis in order to help the company succeed.

Top talent in the company still receive a substantially higher pay off from live events and merchandise. John Cena for example, earns somewhere north of 40 percent of his merchandise sales, while mid-card stars, who are still top-five/ten merchandise draws such as Zack Ryder, receive south of 10 percent of his merchandise sales. Santino Marella sells a lot of merchandise as well and also makes very little from sales. Ryder and Marella also aren’t getting any income from their popular YouTube.com shows.

When WWE travels overseas, conditions for mid-card talent is even worse. When talent gets off the airplane in whatever country they are touring in at a given time, generally there are three buses waiting for the mid-carders that they all have to pack themselves into, unless they want to go into their pocket for a rental car. Many lately haven’t been, for fear of spending the extra money to make travel more convenient only to find their pay off from the tour they’re working considerably less than what they are accustomed to receiving. A good example of that, again, is the recent tour of Brazil where stars were expecting anywhere between $2,000 and $4,000, only to find out they were receiving $500 for their work. To say many were pissed off at this is an understatement.

Exclusive: Who’s Frustrated With WWE Right Now?
Source: WZROnline.com

In an update on JTG and multiple other mid-card WWE talents being upset these days, one of the main topics of concern as we noted earlier was the recent WWE Brazilian tour. In previous years, mid-level WWE talent was accustomed to receiving $2,000-$4,000 per show depending on the amount of merchandise sold and live event gates. As we broke in our previous exclusive article, mid-card talents on this particular Brazilian tour, which was considered a huge success financially, only received $500.

As mentioned before, current WWE Superstar JTG posted a Twitter rant prior to RAW this past Monday night. According to a WZROnline.com source, JTG is not the only person who is becoming growingly frustrated with the current compensation in WWE these days. Numerous mid-card stars in WWE are said to be very displeased with the pay and bonuses they receive, but will not speak up due to fear of losing their jobs. We have confirmed that Zack Ryder, Santino Marella, Curt Hawkins, Tyler Reks and MANY others including WWE Divas are very upset with the company right now. Prior to Monday’s RAW, our source claims talent was keeping a healthy distance from JTG for speaking up, because that’s something they don’t feel comfortable doing.

Following the conclusion of RAW, JTG was approached by WWE officials who inquired about the aforementioned Twitter rant. A source close to this situation explained to WZROnline.com that JTG told management exactly how he has been feeling and that many others feel the same way but don’t feel comfortable speaking up or taking a stand as he did. JTG reportedly told management that he and many others feel “mistreated” and underpaid. He explained that he loves working for WWE and wants to continue to be a part of the company, but that he was unhappy with how he has been paid as of late. He insisted to management that he wasn’t trying to get fired but things had been boiling for quite some time and he and many others had been holding it in.

Management basically heard out JTG, but didn’t offer anything that defused his frustration. Basically, JTG was heard and was told to try and do his job as best as he can and things will get better with time. Whether or not that resolves the situation remains to be seen, as talent doesn’t feel any different than before all of this chaos began.

Exclusive: Several Talents In WWE Being Ripped Off?
By Ryan Clark on Tuesday, August 7th, 2012 at 6:41 PM EST

On Monday night we noted on the website that former Cryme Tyme member and current WWE Star JTG went ballistic on WWE during an outraged Twitter rant on Monday evening. As previously reported, the basic analysis of the situation is that several mid-card talents are angered at their lack of air time on TV and their current pay.

Among all the complaints, another topic of concern is merchandise sales. In terms of merchandise, John Cena and Rey Mysterio are the top two superstars in the company who sell the most merchandise. We’re told John Cena makes between 40-42% off all sales. In comparison, Zack Ryder makes less than 10% from sales. Ryder was double hit when WWE also recently took away his personal YouTube channel and made it their own. Ryder is one of the top five merchandise sellers. This was obviously so they could take in all advertising revenue through YouTube.com. We’re told Ryder is not getting any money from the show right now. Ryder was basically was told to let WWE run his show or to have control on whether to shut it down for good. The point of the show was to show WWE management his potential and to get a possible push from it. While shutting down the channel would have gotten him much less publicity, he opted to give WWE the show so it would still be featured and his name would still be out there. He was ultimately screwed over in the end.

We’re told Zack Ryder lives in an apartment in which he currently shares with a good friend. This is due to lack of monetary compensation for WWE and the company not giving proper pay-per-view and merchandise bonuses.

I already mentioned on how Y2J shitted on Brazil. Wrestlers still need a union though. That is the only way the abuse will stop. Time off, travel expenses, insurance, and medical benefits should be standard. As well as protection against corporate tightwads who push a few and bury others needlessly.

The former Abraham Washington is still ripping into WWE following his release yesterday via Twitter, writing, "If I smoked crack or did steroids I'd get suspended but I made a joke and tweeted support Linda and I get fired. #Doesn'tAddUp #Hmmmmm"
He also re-tweeted a number of fan comments pointing out that Tensai wasn't fired after making a remark that could be seen as racist via Tout, that Randy Orton had once publicly knocked Kelly Kelly for her behavior on the road with male wrestlers and that Vickie Guerrero was regularly mocked for her weight on the air, but none of those personalities were fired or reprimanded.

Washington, real name Brian Jossie, also noted that he expected WWE to deactivate his Twitter account, so he opened a new one at www.twitter.com/BJRatedR where he has stated he wasn't destroying his chances to return to WWE.

"I'm not burning bridges I'm just telling the truth," Jossie wrote. "If that burns bridges than those weren't the best bridges! #Rebuild"

:smh:
Now how does this fall on the Prime Time Players?

I had a feeling he would get the axe for that comment.
It was inappropriate, but not worthy of being fired IMO.
At worst, he should have gotten suspended.
I swear I'm done watching WWE anyway.
I already don't watch Smackdown anymore and these 3-hour Raws are becoming painful to sit through.
