He's been great as usual in the ring (I really liked his match with Show) but he's really just "okay" on the mic. If I didn't know he could do better, I would rate him higher. Some weeks, he sounds like old Punk but other weeks it's like a watered down version.

I liked the psychology of taking out the legs that Punk was using and he has regressed on the mic imo, the problem is he seems to have lost the ability to find the medium. He can't shoot on everything since that will become tired and he can't get cartoony because that will make him look as bad as Cena.

Yea I know. They'r eobssessed with money but they are blind. I honestly believe if they keep dudes as heels it won't hurt them. As a matter of fact, I think it hurts them to turn them heel. Shit maybe not in their wallets. I guess. I imagine when they turn someone completely face their merchandise goes up with kids but some guys like Shaemus and CM Punk shouldn't be fucking faces. They had a good thing going. Especially Punk being I don't think his merchandise sells come much from children but that's just a guess on my part.

All i want to know is why do they not want people to cheer heels anymore? This really all started with Cena back in 04 when he started to get cheered and that's when he slowly lost his edge, then they fucked up big time with Orton and it seems like they still haven't learned their lesson:smh:

When the feud with Bryan first started, they were working well together on the mic but as the AJ storyline took up more and more time, they lost something. AJ was great but you don't need much to sell Punk vs Bryan.
On a recent interview, he addressed some fans gripes about his promos being different and what he said made sense. When he cut that killer promo last summer, he was mad and let loose. Well, it's hard to be mad when you got everything you asked for, including your old entrance music.
He was going good with Show Monday, promo wise (though Show's lines were so obviously scripted, they were :rolleyes:inducing) and I expect him and Cena to be good building up to SummerSlam.

It looks like they're flipping Jericho too so it would have to be Dolph. That and they dropped the ball so badly with Alberto that he's not nearly as over as he should be. When they figure out that strong heels draw money, they'll start pulling 4s in the ratings instead of low 3s.

You're right, Ziggler is getting cheered more and more.

This is somewhere they can mimic TNA. They kept Aries heel until the fans were overwhelmingly cheering him and even as the top face, he's still an asshole to the fans. Nothing has really changed about him since his turn except who he wrestles.

The wwe rule of thumb now is "If he's cheered turn him face" and it's cost them in terms of quality. Punk should've stayed heel but money made them turn him and look at how mediocre he's been(level wise)since then, they're so obsessed with money that it's really killing the company.

The problem is that the WWE doesn't know how to book a face without them coming off as corny. I blame Vince for that since everything has to go through him particularly anything involving Raw. Back in the day with DX, SCSA, The Rock, The APA,etc they knew how to keep the medium so these guys were dealing with bad guys so they were obviously faces but doing it in a way that they kept they're edge. And they made sure that they caught a beatdown here and there so you not only knew who the heel was but also to explain whatever badass actions the face did for revenge.

Now the faces barely get overwhelmed. And the face whose character lends itself most to the typical corny WWE face, Zack Ryder isn't even utilized enough.

They could've had Show call Punk out on his failure to bring change but they need Punk to look like a hero still, i feel like he could turn heel and tell people that he only wanted change for himself.

Those guys had a mind for the business that the guys now just don't have, not to mention they also got to work in a less controlled environment back then. Punk has the mind for it but a lot of the guys now(Cena)main problem is that they comes off like a fan who wanted to be a wrestler instead of an actual wrestler.

Dolph Ziggler was reportedly livid with Sin Cara following Sunday’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match for a World Heavyweight Championship Contract at Money in the Bank.

According to SuperLuchas.net, a source within WWE says Ziggler vocally complained backstage over the SmackDown Superstar working stiffly and failing to protect him during a high risk maneuver off the top turnbuckle known as The Spanish Fly.

The errant spot nearly injured Ziggler, not to mention spurred a dubious Twitter trending topic—”Botch Cara.”

According to the source, Ziggler plans to file a formal complaint to WWE officers over Sin Cara so they can review the case further and decide whether the the high-flying grappler faces punishment.

In Sin Cara’s defense, footage indicates that Ziggler caused the spot to fail by slipping twice on the rope. Wrestling Observer editor Dave Meltzer stated Friday, “Ziggler slipped halfway through the move when Sin Cara’s back was already bent far enough he could do nothing but fall. It’s only Sin Cara’s fault if he had ESP and would have known Ziggler was about to slip.”

If this is true then it shows that the mentality of todays wrestler is to blame someone else:smh:

Dolph Ziggler Angry With Sin Cara For Money in the Bank Near-Botch

He's filing a complaint…

- Dolph Ziggler was reportedly angry with Sin Cara after the Smackdown Money in the Bank ladder match. A source within the company says Ziggler was very vocal backstage in his complaints over Sin Cara working stiffly and not protecting him during the errant Spanish Fly attempted off the top turnbuckle. Ziggler was nearly injured and "Botch Cara" trended on Twitter as a result.

The source claims that Ziggler is planning to make a formal complaint to WWE officials so they can review the spot and see if punishment is warranted. Some however have noted that the footage seems to show Ziggler caused the botch when he slipped twice on the rope, with Sin Cara too bent at that point to allow him to do anything but fall.

What it's supposed to look like:

They both tried to step on the same spot on the rope at the same time. Sin Cara had his foot on the rope first, and Ziggler's foot knocked Sin Cara's foot off the rope and knocked Sin Cara off balance and Dolph put all his weight on Sin Cara trying to get himself on the top rope.

They both fucked up really. One should've waited for the other to get settled on the rope before putting their foot up.

Thats a move that doesnt need to be performed off the top rope. It looks more legit when done on the mat in my opinion and it puts the performers at far too much risk when done like that.

Cara has a track record of botching but imo this one is on Ziggler.

That's it in a nutshell. That and the heels were always strong.

They could've had Show call Punk out on his failure to bring change but they need Punk to look like a hero still, i feel like he could turn heel and tell people that he only wanted change for himself.

Maybe if they were going to have a full out feud but that's too much for a one off match and it wouldnt have anything to do with Show and his current direction.
Hell, Punk said nothing would change until Vince died and Vince isn't dead yet.:D

Punk has the mind for it but a lot of the guys now(Cena)main problem is that they comes off like a fan who wanted to be a wrestler instead of an actual wrestler.

There's some truth to that because most of those guys listed had years of working for different territories or companies before they landed in WWF while a lot of the younger guys now don't have that experience and have spent most of their time in the WWE umbrella, like FCW.
But the bigger problem and difference is the booking/writing group is much different and a lot weaker and have no mind for the business at all. For all Russo's faults, and they are many, he was a fan of wrestling growing up. Before him guys like Pat Patterson and George Scott were booking and of course they were experienced bookers. I don't know Chris Krewski's wrestling background but he was probably the best writer they ever had and kept the company going strong after Russo and Ferrara left. But now with a staff of comedy writers and foolishness without even Shane McMahon to steer them back to more core wrestling, we end up with the dreck we've gotten. It doesn't matter how good Punk's or Bryan's or Del Rio's or Show's mind for the business is if the men and women who write and produce the show give them stupid shit to do.

I'm the exact opposite. I hate to see guys do it on the mat. It's one of those moves where it's obvious that you need the other guy to help you pull it off, like the Canadian Destroyer, and it lacks solid impact.
The only version I like and looks legit to me is the tag team version off the top rope by the SAT.

Another Aces and Eights spoiler so skip is you want to be surprised.

ANOTHER MEMBER OF ACES AND EIGHTS IS.....
by Dave Scherer @ 4:23 PM on 7/20/2012

We can add former WWECW talent Mike Knox to the list of members of TNA's Aces And Eights group, joining Luke Gallows and Wes Brisco. We have been told that TNA has been rotating some workers who won't be part of the group into the beatdowns to make it harder to guess who is in the faction.

D Lo Brown, who is an agent for TNA, played a member last night but I don't believe he will be part of the final group when they are revealed.

Now Jeff Jarrett? I think it's fair to say you can count on him being the leader

That was great to see. It always felt half assed to me when they would do the DX "One night Only" shit and it would be just Shawn and HHH. Good that they got all of them(well except Chyna but ay...) together.

I hate that they have basically toned down Michael Cole, about 6 months ago Cole was dogging the shit out of Jim Ross but now they all buddy buddy and shit

Did they tone him down? I know he's being humble tonight but I figured ay its 1000th episode they gonna let him be humble tonight. Its a celebration. That negative shit they can leave for one night can't they?

oh yeah, he's been like that for a while now because usually he would be more of the heel announcer but now not as much, he still get the heat from the fans

Oh damn I didn't notice. I actually liked his more "heel" side. At first it was too forced but it toned it down a bit and it was okay for me.

I think they ended that story after Cena beat Cole up that one night and covered him JR's BBQ sauce and shit

Whats funny about Trish Stratus having Triple H bend over like that is that Stephanie McMahon caught them in that same position when they first got together...

I was just saying last week Nyomi and Cameron need to be wearing shorts. I just wish Nyomi wasn't wearing stockings.

She know she need them thighs out with the baby oil on 'em while she wigglin' and jigglin' with her thick ass. Her titties look right too.

I didn't see that coming. Daniel Bryan is going to be screwed.

By the way AJ is fine as a muthafucka though I have said that several times already.

Cameron and Naomi oiled up. It's nice thought but with the WWE trying to appeal to the kids it's probably isn't likely.....unless I missed something earlier.
