They're only good when the people involved can go way back. If the days of the nWo and Stone Cold are the "good old days" to you, stay the fuck out of conversation with me and dirty. Just sit back and listen/read and remember to check YouTube to see what we're talking about.

You're welcome.:D

Just to clarify im only 27 but i've literally been watching since i was a baby, so no one on here better confuse me with Dave who's 1 week away from social security:lol:

that shit was uncalled for right there :angry:

Dave & Dirty need a wrestling show. Them cats be referencing shit that I was around for but don't remember because I couldn't even read yet.

Not that I don't remember most of these references, but trust I won't be jumping anywhere near this conversation. It's SO MUCH more entertaining to sit back and watch two professionals going to work. :lol:

You and dirty got this one.

:lol::lol::lol: We can take over this thread at times.

It's all relative. I didn't even think of looking at it that way until you said something.

You didn't because you know I'm not that type of cat and this isn't that kind of thread.
The new guy will figure it out too.

Great moments in wrestling. A great heel in Ole, a sympathetic face in Dusty plus building heat. Vince would never do shit like this now.

:lol::yes:
I know we could do better than those amateurs on youtube.

:yes:

It's because we actually have other shit going on in our lives.:lol:

Ole Anderson is one of the greatest bookers, wrestlers, promos, and heels of all time.

Vince would have him booked to get beat by Dusty in 8 minutes on Raw and then when no one takes him seriously would blame him for it.

It seems Vince is more about selling t shirts and other merchandise than he is about good wrestling and entertaining tv. I was on one of those sport sites and somebody was just re running old Monday Night Raw episodes and I got so caught up in the entertainment of it all it was 6 in the morning b4 I realized it!!! Man the shit was just cool, and it all felt brand new as well.

Upgrade Dave, I'll help you with these pencil necked geeks if you need it...just tag me in (grabs tag rope)

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

:roflmao3::roflmao3::roflmao3:

the tag rope:lol::lol::lol: Boy, I love to see anybody actually use that joint in wrestling today. I saw a fool tag with his foot one time on Raw. I literally screamed at my tv "Tommy Young wouldn't go for that bullshit!"

:lol::yes:

We could be the YouTube version of Ole and Arn: me the grizzled, stubborn veteran, you, the smart ass upstart with a little potential.:D

You're going to make me cry, Jack.
:D
When I first saw Georgia Championship Wrestling on the SuperStation TBS (I had no idea what a SuperStation was), it was like a whole new world opened up.
Then a couple years later, I found WWF on USA (I think Backlund was the champ) and my life was about as perfect as it could have been as a fan.

I was cheering so hard when they did that. I couldn't stand that teeny bopper Ricky Morton or his stupid partner Robert Gibson (now that I understand more, I can't say anything bad about them).
These pretty boys now are NOT putting sandpaper to their face to sell an angle like this.

Bob Backlund losing the WWF title to Antonio Inoki. Before the internet, champs used to lose titles overseas and it wouldn't be acknowledged here. WWE still hasn't acknowledged Inoki's title win. It's like it never happened.

I love all these old clips but this page is about to be slow as hell now:lol:

It always trips me out how they hold on to it except when they get tagged in:lol:

I do miss the days when it was the big R.A.W letters as the entrance, and the simple black tron because the HD set is just as bland as the roster.

Vince is in the business of making money and although i can't stand Cena i do understand his value which is estimated at 106mil in merchandising. The WWE makes over 500-600mil a year so it makes sense that he goes with whatever the cash cow is at the time.

He may be making money in merchandising and they better cause the way they're running things things they damn sure aren't gonna make it in PPV buys. Out of the big 4 PPVs all of them disappointed on some level this past year particularly as it concerns the in ring product. At one point the company was strong enough that guys like HHH, Kurt Angle,Mysterio and Stone Cold could be out for significant portions of time and little was lost. If Cena and Punk both went down the company would be screwed. They'd have Jericho and Orton(whose popularity is overrated) and little else in terms of guys who are legit main eventers, have been built up properly and can carry the company for a decent period of time.

Thanks for the old clips (most I already seen). To know the basics of pro wrestling for newbies. Buying the Wrestling Gold 5 disc DVD set is mandatory you get a near riot,blood and mat action no cartoon crap. Also find some Stampede Wrestling from the 80's, NJPW and AJPW from late 80's-mid 90's, AAA from 91-95 for international flavor.

Or we could be the Rockers "Come here Dave i have to show you something; it's by the window":lol:

:roflmao3::roflmao3::roflmao3:

Back when real shit happened at arena shows all the time.
Funny thing is, this happened right before the Charlotte show that had Nikita turn because Magnum had his car accident.

You see the jobbers have to climb over the rails behind David and Tony before they went to the clip? No ramps back then.

Von Erichs as heels in Florida.

A lot of people thought having David turn heel in Florida was proof that he was in line for a NWA title run.
