Royal Rumble was ok, enjoyed the guess appearances but Kofi with all that talent should be a top champion.

Worst Rumble...EVER!!!![]()
I didn't mind that cause it still keeps Jericho, his true intentions and most importantly how and when he shows his true colors in suspense. And I think that Bryan and Sheamus could have a very good match as could Sheamus and Mark Henry if they wanted to go that way with things.
Problem is they said that anybody could be in including match participants and all that did was allow them to throw in a plethora of old timers and the announcers. They may as well have had the spanish announce team enter. No Brodus,no Cena, no Kane.
As long as 1999 Rumble exists, it'll never be the worst rumble ever. And 1999 occurred during the Attitude ever.
I actually popped in the Royal Rumble 1999 DVD in a couple months ago to see if my perspective of the rumble match itself changed. BRUTAL stuff, and I actually feel worse about it now than I did when I saw it live back in the day. It really has not aged well at all.
Worst ending? 1999 wins
Rumble filled with the most jobbers? 1999 wins
Rumble with the most dead air during the match? 1999 wins
Those 3 factors alone will keep this year's rumble a good distance away from that territory (and this is coming from someone who has no interest in Sheamus, and really wanted Jericho to win it).
Sheamus vs DB is not going to set the world on fire and at least after the 99 rumble people wanted to see how Vince would weasel out of the match.Sorry bruh but 2012 is the worst one ever because even the main eventers are close to being jobbersSheamus vs DB is not going to set the world on fire and at least after the 99 rumble people wanted to see how Vince would weasel out of the match.
Also, I hardly see how Daniel Bryan (a current world champ) and Sheamus (a former world champ) are two jobbers. Sounds like you're letting your dislike for them cloud objective terminology (and bare in mind, I don't want to see Sheamus and have no interest in him). Daniel Bryan is a damn good wrestler and, truth be told, has chemistry in the ring with Sheamus based on their prior matches. But again....I still didn't want Sheamus to win and was disappointed that Jericho didn't win. But 2012 worst rumble match ever? Definitely not. The card as a whole was underwhelming however.
and imo that's failure defined. We have to accept the fact that until we get that next superstar with the "it" factor then this is what we're stuck with. It's not Punk DB Ziggler(although i like him) or Orton, Rock vs Cena will be great but after that then what?I actually like Sheamus but he's been nothing for so long that him winning the Rumble was just blah. DB has been boring as champ as well and im sorry but anyone expecting this to be entertaining is setting themselves up for disappointment(not you since you said you have no interest). This Rumble will be remembered for 2 things 1.Kofi's handstand 2. Ricardo's carand imo that's failure defined. We'll have to agree to disagree again. They have booked Daniel Bryan badly during his world title run, but he is still a great wrestler that produces in the ring despite how badly they book him. Plus, his matches against Sheamus in the past have been great (their match on PPV in particular), so I have no doubt they'll put together a good match on Wrestlemania if that's where we're headed (my beef is I've never liked Sheamus, so I didn't want to see him win the rumble...especially over Jericho). Also, Punk has the "it" factor and so does Ziggler (and for a while I didnt see it, but I do nowadays). And for whatever the 2012 rumble will be remembered for I'm sure the rumble match itself will be held in higher regard than 1999's. I'm not trying to argue that 2012 was one of the better rumbles (it wasn't) but certainly didnt have ZERO redeeming values unlike the 1999 rumble.

I guess we'll agree to disagree, but a non-wrestler winning the rumble, LOTS of dead spots, full of jobbers (and really, that's pretty objective, there is no question the 1999 Rumble had more jobbers than the 2012 one), and practically nothing of worth happening during the entire Rumble match (Jericho/Sheamus wrestling sequence at the end was better than anything in the 1999 Rumble match. If you disagree then tell me what sequence in the 1999 rumble match was better) makes this year's clearly better than 1999. Watch the 1999 one again today. As I said in my other post, I saw it recently on DVD and actually feels it's worse now than when it first aired live since we're so removed from that era. At least back in 1999 there was followup to look forward to (but make no question, the 1999 rumble match still sucked back then).

Dave will attest to the fact that i called Punks bs months ago, if he can't shoot on you then his promos ring hollow and he has gotten pretty sloppy in the ring as of late. Ziggler has a chance but something tells me it won't happen, mainly because i've seen this company fuck up sure things(KOFI!!!)so i don't have hope for dolph. I just looked at the the participants for the 99 rumble and give me that roster over this one any day
You did and I thought you were wrong then too. Punk is the last guy who's allowed to do "real" (not shoot) promos like in the "good ol days". Jericho will have some of that when he starts talking but everyone else just recites their lines. So if it's a problem that Punk doesn't recite as well as other guys, I think that's a good thing since we shit on the guys and the shows for their fake sounding promos.
Even if people didn't like the 99 rumble match at least it had the iconic Rock vs Foley match, what did this one have that's worth remembering?: Even if people didn't like the 99 rumble match at least it had the iconic Rock vs Foley match, what did this one have that's worth remembering?
That's my problem who has he really gone against because everyone is so lame now that he gets away with stuff, he goes after them then they repeat the same shit we've heard before(Del Rio). Look at his promos with HHH and the one with Cena the week of Summerslam, is weakness is he goes so hard after a guy that when they check him he gets flustered. So far he runs his mouth then the other guy just takes it which is "fish in a barrel", he doesn't match up well with people above him because his shots don't do any damage to them.
But back to the original point and that's this Rumble suckedEven if people didn't like the 99 rumble match at least it had the iconic Rock vs Foley match, what did this one have that's worth remembering?
And the final four match up was actually pretty decent. It was the first time in months that I've been entertained by Orton. And the surprise ending with Sheamus winning it instead of Jericho. Jericho not winning is one of the best red herrings in a long time. I was fooled and I'm cool with that.
So, I can appreciate that they did not let Cena win last night, but really sold Kane as the monster. I personally think they should let Kane keep beating his arse up to Mania. They have it set up like Kane is really getting in Cenas head because he can't beat him. When Rock and Cena go at it at Mania, they should set it up where the match is going back and forth, and Cena can't finish him off. All of a sudden, something happens where the ref is knocked out, and Kane comes down to the ring. You think he's going to beat Cenas arse again, but he beats down the Rock. Cena takes advantage of the beaten Rock and gets the win. After the match, Cena gives an evil smirk to the crowd. As he's walking up the ramp, he keeps screaming at the crowd, "This is what you all wanted".

How is that any different than when Rock was on top? Who was his verbal nemesis: The Big Show? Taker?
And you seem to think these are completely spontaneous moments and not choreographed situations where they know who's going to get the last word?
Pluck Punk out of 2011-12 and put him in 1985 with Ole Anderson telling him "You got 7 minutes. Mention your match with Magnum TA in Augusta and you got Buzz Sawyer in Charlotte." and he contends with Flair.
Also you just made my point Punk gets the last word all the time and never has people go hard at him like he does with them. JL is an easy punching bag but just remember his final promo with HHH & Cena, when both stars have equal time he eventually runs out of those quips which never works well for him.I thought we were just comparing the rumble matches, not the card itself. Of course the Foley/Rock match is better than anything on the 2012's card. But I was just comparing the rumble itself. Looking at that, 2012 is a good deal better than the terrible 1999 Rumble which still holds the title for worst rumble ever for a lot of reasons. This year's rumble was middling, overall, but not hitting the "chore to watch" levels that was 1999 (plus the ending is the worst one to date as well).
You can also put Foley HHH & Jericho on that list kinda convenient you left them outAlso you just made my point Punk gets the last word all the time and never has people go hard at him like he does with them. We were but i was just saying how even if you didn't like that match at least it had something on the card to make it tolerable, whereas this Rumble as a whole had nothing. Like you said we agree to disagree it's cool no big deal but imo the 93 rumble was the worst ever.
Not convenient, I just couldn't remember any of them getting the best of Rock in dueling promos. Jericho actually made his debut getting owned by the Rock.
He only gets the last word when the other guy isn't as good on the mic, like Johnny Ace. When he was faced with HHH, Hunter got the last word, as it was plotted out.
Being the best at that isn't a good thing to me. That parts almost as fake as most closed fist punches that never draw blood or knock anybody out. Two guys who have this heated rivalry where they've done these violent things to each other have time to go out and trade jokes and barbs back at each other? Every week, no matter what happened the last time they saw each other? TNA got this all the way right last week when Storm and Hardy didn't take time to talk about shit, when they saw Roode and Bubba, they wanted to fight, fuck talking.
93 was boring. I remember it started good but then just fizzled out. But Yoko winning was a surprise to me since I didn't think he was getting that kind of push that fast.
You see how Del is so agreeable and easy to get along with. He "agrees to disagree". That is not me. Fuck that. I will just keep disagreeing because I KNOW I'm right.![]()

I know you'll keep disagreeing even when you've been bitched slapped j/k![]()

I remember that but Rock hitting the Rock Bottom spoiled it for me a little. Still, that's them working together and magic happens when two great talkers work together. HHH, when he was working against Punk, didn't talk as a wrestler but as COO and didn't give Punk room to go back at him. He cut his promos like a babyface instead of a heel which sucked a little of the juice from Punk, who was fully face by then. The only good promos Cena has cut in years where while working with Punk. Jeff Hardy did his best mic work, working the Punk feud before he left. Outside the WWE bubble, Punk was a fantastic promo and that's something that sticks with guys their entire career so the difference isn't him, it's the environment.

I'm downloading Raw just to see Naomi again.
Naomi and the other girl had different outfits on. They had blue cheetah pants with a little mesh section on the hips and it looked like she wasn't wearing underwear. You could see Naomi's hips, thighs and a little side ass every time she moved. And they were getting good camera angles too. That shit was fuckin' awesome!!!![]()
