Perfect place to do it too

The match between your tribal chief Roman & Hollywood Rock the Dwayne just got even better.

What better person to carry a storyline on TV when one or both parties aren't available, than the Wiseman & Hall of Famer?

Kingston/Danielson was excellent. Great All Japan style match with superb wrestling psychology and solid in ring storytelling. Crowd completely invested in this match. Kingston has really transformed himself into an fantastic wrestler. He puts so much passion into his matches. Kudos to Danielson for putting him over tonight.
Oh yeah, That was a damn good match!!..I'm glad that Danielson is pushing other wrestlers to shine!!

Damn, I'd forgot how quick Muta was.

Ospreay is that fuckin dude!

You predicted right. This match is a showstopper!

As expected Ospreay and Takeshita delivered a classic! Good grief that was excellent! If you don't think Ospreay is a star after seeing that match I don't know what to tell you. Dude is just phenomenal!

Oh yes!!...That match was the best match of the show!!....It was fucking awesome!!...So glad that Opsreay is at AEW!!....I see him holding a belt sometime this year!!..Don't know what title belt but they are putting a belt on him later this year!!

Good three way match. Joe retains as expected. Would've been too soon to take the belt off of him. Swerve will be crowned when Joe drops the belt sometime this summer.

I think they are going to roll with Joe having the belt for the rest of this year...But, Swerve will be the next champion..prob early next year!!...

About what I figured. This would be the perfect time to put the titles on Brody King and Buddy Mathews of "House Of Black".

I knew this was going to happen!!...This Tag Team Tournament should be good!!...I think Moxley and Claudio from The Blackpool Combat Club will win and be the new Tag Team Champs...They are hot right now!!..

dont watch much of AEW and wasnt a big WCW fan
but props to Tony & AEW for treating Sting and his retirement with the pomp and circumstance it deserved

he was never a WWE(F) guy and injuries fucked up his run, but he didnt getting treated like the ICON he truly is
Sting is up there with HBK, Bret, Flair, Hogan, Rock, Stone Cold, Andre and the Undertaker

and its nice that he was finally treated as such

I have a question for @XXXplosive because he was live in person at "Revolution" last night. What were your thoughts on these three matches watching them live?

- Kingston/Danielson
- Ospreay/Takeshita
- Darby & Sting/Young Bucks
Man, I'm still recovering and half hungover from last night
Overall, it was a damn good PPV! Easily a top 5 live event I've ever attended.
The place was packed and the crowd was hyped up throughout the show and almost everyone was in a Sting t-shirt or dressed up as Sting.
I'm curious to know how the crowd came across on TV.
For all the issues AEW has, they definitely give fans their money's worth at PPVs.

Kingston/Danielson: Good hard-hitting match. I wasn't terribly invested into the match because I didn't know what the storyline was behind the match, if there even was one. Danielson always puts on good matches. Kingston's appeal is his promo ability and not necessarily his in-ring work.

Ospreay/Takeshita: Match of the night. I had never seen an Ospreay even on TV and wow, was I blown away. The guy is legit and has won me over as a fan. Pretty cool to see him for the first time ever in person. Takeshita did his thing too and put on a show. I have no doubt Meltzer will give this match at least 5-6 stars. LOL

Darby & Sting/Young Bucks: Good match, not the biggest fan of the Bucks and Sting is obviously older and Darby is basically just a glorified stunt man at this point. That spot through the glass/chairs was senseless and I could see shattered glass shoot into the audience at ringside. There was a lot going on in this match and it was very cool to see Sting's sons come out in his previous versions. I was surprised Ric Flair wasn't involved more in the match, maybe I missed it but it seemed like he was barely there. The best part to me was actually after the match where Sting gave a heartfelt speech to the crowd. I heard the speech got cut off by the PPV.

Again, overall it was an excellent show. I went with a couple of lapsed fans who don't watch AEW and barely keep up with WWE.
They both had a blast and enjoyed themselves. They both said they would start watching AEW moving forward.
I hope AEW can use the momentum from this show moving forward into the future.

Man, you had a good seat at the ppv...Glad that you had a good time!!...

Didn't watch the PPV, but saw clips on Twitter and saw the reactions here. Looks to have been a good show and a good sendoff for Sting.

Although some of the stunts in the clips I saw looked unnecessary (Darby's glass stunt), I'm glad AEW exists for the fans that like that sort of stuff.

TK is a money mark but I give him props for sending off Sting the right way, after WWE failed to do so years ago.

It came off great on TV. Definitely one of the better AEW crowds. They were white hot during the Ospreay/Takeshita match and Darby & Sting/Young Bucks match. Also, I agree with you that AEW does give you your money's worth for ppvs. They consistently nail their ppvs. They just need to do the same with their TV shows.

Kingston/Danielson: Good hard-hitting match. I wasn't terribly invested into the match because I didn't know what the storyline was behind the match, if there even was one. Danielson always puts on good matches. Kingston's appeal is his promo ability and not necessarily his in-ring work.

I'm actually liking Kingston's matches more so now than when he first came to AEW because
he's adopted the All Japan Kings Road style which is more slower paced and psychology based with "fighting spirit" (who can out tough/ adrenaline each other usually in the form of slaps, kicks and elbows) elements mixed in. I've always been a fan of that style since the early 90's.

LOL

So glad you finally were able to see an Ospreay match. Dude is a special talent. I saw him live a few years ago but it was on a Dynamite not a pay-per-view. Hopefully I'll be able to see him live on the next ppv here in Saint Louis.

Darby & Sting/Young Bucks: Good match, not the biggest fan of the Bucks and Sting is obviously older and Darby is basically just a glorified stunt man at this point. That spot through the glass/chairs was senseless and I could see shattered glass shoot into the audience at ringside.

Gonna have to start calling Darby "Deathwish" Darby. Dude is insane and is gonna paralyze or kill himself one of these days but at least you'll see it on the PPV. Then at the post "Revolution" media scrum TK is talking about Darby is gonna be wrestling Jay White in two weeks at the "Big Business" show. Darby probably insisted on it but I would've given that dude 2 months off after that performance last night.

There was a lot going on in this match and it was very cool to see Sting's sons come out in his previous versions.

That was cool. The one son who came out as surfer blonde Sting is a splitting image of his father.

I was surprised Ric Flair wasn't involved more in the match, maybe I missed it but it seemed like he was barely there.

Flair and Steamboat can barely move at their age. Limiting them to a small spot in the match was probably the best way to go.

The best part to me was actually after the match where Sting gave a heartfelt speech to the crowd. I heard the speech got cut off by the PPV.

It did get cut off. They went over on time. They did post the whole speech on Youtube though.

They got to consitently drop great TV shows now. No more lazy booking or half assed presentation. Everything has to be on point. Supposedly they're debuting a brand new set on the next Dynamite with the tunnels coming back so we'll see how it goes.

Great shot!

I haven't seen the match but I did learn today that Sting is 64 years old. I like that he choose to bow out of the ring on his own terms before 65.

I'm not watching this last match until his ass is at least 66 tho. I swear to God, if he retires at 64, right at the finish line, and still doesn't make it to ....

Gonna stop there. Not putting that energy into the world. I hope Sting has a long and joyous retirement. He's a legend and deserves a nice, LONG, peaceful post wrestling career life.

WWE didn't respect Sting, all they seen was another nail in the coffin of WCW, and to flex their superiority. Sting was not black and white NWO anyway. Shame AEW and TNA treated Sting with so much respect and WWE didn't. Only thing I wish would've happened last nigh was AS AN OLD HEAD was for Nikita Koloff to jump the rail and hit somebody with the gottdamn Russian Sickle!!! Oh something subtle I seen, Hangman looking like Magnum TA and hitting that Belly to Belly suplex and going for the pin. I caught that.

That some good memories of the good ol wrestling right there!!..
