Why wouldn't he be? Gives him another shot at the title. Could lose the title match at Mania with one champion and then cash in on the other champion
I was thinking if he wins, he could have a match with Seth and lose clean after a long battle that Seth just barely wins. Then Damien cashes in his 2nd chance right there.

He's not winning tho :dunno:

I like the running clock they keep showing. It's a nice touch to show how long people have been in the ring without the commentators having to constantly mention it.

I'm wishing they were overseas for this PPV so could have been on during the afternoon.
It's almost midnight and this match is still going and I'm :yawn2: fading

Yuck.
I hope Roman beats him again.

Tribal Chief in God mode

Makes sense for the story though. Cody needed a Rumble win to be able to challenge again.

They could still end up running Punk v Seth on thr first night of Mania by just building to it organically over the next few weeks.

I fear we're never gonna to see Roman eat some chops from Gunther :crymeariver:

The Women’s Royal Rumble match was more entertaining than the men’s.

No surprises, no crazy spots. It was very formulaic and underwhelming.

I’d give the entire PPV a 6/10

Punk will enter and win Elimination Chamber and challenge Seth for Mania night one

Some years the formula is just more obvious than normal and this was one of those years.

Every Rumble is essentially someone comes to the ring and gets to clear house with a few big moves. Then they take a nap or hug someone in the corner for a few minutes while other people come in and get their chance.

Some Rumbles sprinkle surprises and crazy spot in-between to hide the formula. This year they just wanted to get the match over and start the road to Mania.

Given the state of leadership in the company right now, it makes sense.

Wait... so they wait until raw to say who he picks?
He's facing Roman, the commentators stated so.
Overall, this Royal Rumble was just okay.
No big surprise returns/debuts so that takes away some points.
And the finish was predictable with Cody and Punk being the last two and Cody winning it all.
I was at last year's Royal Rumble and there was definitely more energy from the crowd because the Bloodline storyline was at its peak.
That pop when Sammy hit Roman with the chair is still the loudest pop I've ever heard in person along with Edge's return at the 2020 Royal Rumble.

So the stage is set for Roman vs. Cody Part II and Punk vs. Seth (assuming Seth is healthy enough by Mania).
I think Roman and the Rock have a one-off match at Elimination Chamber next month.

Jade has already been involved with some of the biggest names in wrestling in these last ten minutes compared to two years in AEW

And she still looks green

Hard to show off how much she's possibly improved in a battle royal type of match

She's never going to be a ring technician. Her draw is her looks and strength.
I'm sure in due time she'll get better in the ring and at least have passable matches rather than the "Goldberg-esque" matches she had in nAEW.

Her movements still don't look fluid. She's very stiff. She needs more time in the oven and it's a good thing they didn't fast track her with a rumble win.

So I hear that Jade finally made her debut at WWE Royal Rumble!!...Cool, but what I'm reading on some of yall comments it is still the same Jade wrestling vibe in the ring...its nothing new!!... :hmm:

I wish her luck at WWE...but, I do missed seeing her tall sexy ass at AEW!!...

I'm still rooting for Gunther.
Him and Roman would be the best wrestling match. If that kind if thing matters to anyone.

Fuck these people and their stories.

See even Roman looks pissed that Gunther got eliminated
Roman was pissed because Gunther had already stated his intentions. This past week Gunther gave Seth Rollins credit for being a fighting champion and then told him that if he won the Rumble he would choose to fight him at Mania and go after his injuries in order to win. Roman knew that the pick wasn't him

So Brother Mastermind2002, if its true and she's coming to AEW..She will prob show up at the next ppv?..AEW Revolution in March!!..

Yes, she'll most likely be showing up at "Revolution". WWE dorks were holding out hope that she was gonna show up at the Rumble but TK gave her the bag.

I never saw her wrestle before so I went back and watch clips of her matches when she was at WWE and NJPW..She's pretty good in the ring and can wrestle!!...

She's good but not great. She's had the benefit of the WWE machine behind her for years presenting her in a way which makes her seem more important than what she really is. I give her props for stepping outside the WWE bubble and challenging herself against the best in the world in Stardom. We'll see how TK uses her in AEW. The women's division is ready to go to the next level.

Facts!!...

Can't believe I wasted my time watching that borefest last night. I need to get caught up on "Collision". Heard a lot good things about the House Of Black/Daniel Garcia & FTR Steel Cage match.
