Not sure I'm believing the news of Cody's injury, the way they were talking about it just now.

Either it's a work (for whatever reason, with Punk just getting hurt?) or he really is injured and there is a swerve of some sort for the Cell match.
 
Cody just wrote his ticket to dethroning Roman Reigns for the WWE/Universal Championship. Vince will reward him when he heals off this performance alone. To compete and put on this show with such an injury… no way Vince will forget this.

Not the smartest thing to do but football players have players have played with torn pecs so it's doable. As long as it was a 1 night thing and he do anything too crazy the injury probably couldn't get much worse. As for Seth, he's a heel so he needs to do what any good heel would do in this situation and fuck someone up badly enough to be taken seriously moving forward.

Lolz Cody bet on himself a number of times already:
  • Leaving WWE and going independent when he had easy money on the table
  • Being a founding member of a new wrestling promotion and acting as an EVP (more easy money)
  • Leaving that promotion and going back home when everyone said it was a bad idea.
He's already a bigger star than he ever was. Props to him. He became a legend last night.
