The top champion should move between both shows.

The IC and US Championship should be the main belts on both shows, defended weekly, when the top dog isn't there.
If that’s how they play it then I’m down….it just feels like they’d take a different route to where the secondary title ends up being the one defended kind of like when Brock and the Rock gets the title….

Seriously!
I thought Austin would wobble out to the ring for a quick stunner and posing for the crowd. I wasn't expecting an entire match or for Austin to take any bumps. I also wasn't expecting anything for the Pat McAfee match, but I just really entertained with the initial match. They really milked it with the Vince and Austin stuff though. I almost choked laughing at the shot of McAfee drinking beer while he supposed to be selling the stunner.

I'm interested in what happens with Cody next. The pop he got was impressive, but that was the Mania crowd. The Mania and post-Mania Raw crowd can't be trusted in terms of how well he'll be received on a regular basis. I hope Vince doesn't bury him in the mid-card. He'd be a great candidate for elevating the US title back to main event status. Imagine a match of his Mania's match quality between him and Seth or Finn, main eventing Raw for the US title.

Brief thoughts on Wrestlemania 38 Night 2 ...

Definitely not as good as night one but decent.

Opening match:
Excellent

Lashley/Omos: Complete dud

Zayn/Knoxville: I enjoyed it for what it was however it's not something I would ever want to see again.

Women's match: Meh

Edge/Styles: Solid stuff but poor finish.

New Day/Sheamus & Holland: Complete dud

McAfee/Theory: Decent but mainly helped by crowd.

Vince/McAfee: Trash

Brock/Roman: Felt like they were just going through the motions and brought nothing new to the table. You've seen one Roman/ Brock match you've seen them all. The build to this match was fantastic but the payoff sucked.

Overall, it was a better WrestleMania than last year. It was a good weekend for wrestling in general. If I have the rank the best three matches from this weekend I would say

1. Briscoes/FTR
2. Bianca Belair/Becky Lynch
3. Seth Rollins/Cody Rhodes

Those pops will start to die off in due time. Right now it's fresh and new to WWE fans but eventually they'll turn on his ass just like AEW fans did.

Cody wants to be universal champion and that's not going to happen. Ultimately he's going to be midcarder just like he was in AEW.

Yeah he's no heavy weight Champion... People will get tired of his stuff here too... He's just so corny to me. I liked him when he first left but geez he is a dud

That's what I was afraid of when people first started talking about him coming back. He'll have a huge Mania pop because of the crowd, but by SummerSlam he'll be in the mid-card fighting Sheamus & Butch.

Roman's still the champ and they seem ready to give McIntyre another push. That doesn't leave much room in the main title picture for someone that Vince has never been completely sold on in the first place.

I wish they would’ve left Vince at home during that match.

Based on that Roman injury post Vince may have to shake things up. I doubt he'll put the title on Cody if Roman needs to miss significant time. A Cody vs Edge feud would be interesting but Cody and Seth will probably be feuding into the summer.

Cody .... from being an executive VP at a startup to normal workhand of an empire. Would you call him a sell out or disgraced demotee? The crowd didn't seem excited to see him on Raw.

alil behind
but a hell of a promo by Cody

really do a good job of explaining his return and making it make sense
see him in a WWE ring he was always miscast as a WWE guy in AEW and part of the reason the fans turned...but he didnt want to go heel

he couldnt be Kenny because he was more HHH
hopefully the WWE doesnt lose interest in him and he eventually gets a chance at the top

at this point he might be the biggest face in the company right now

I just hope fans don't turn on him. He can't just be a on the verge of tears baby face. I'm sure he's speaking from the heart and he believes everything he says but Cody is gonna loose fans that way. I'm actually gonna follow WWE again to see where he's story goes.
