Man... the old midcard matches on WCW used to be full of classics. This is one entertaining ass ten minute match. Marc Mero was underrated and Guerrero was of course one of the best ever.

Wish there were more ten minute limited matches in wrestling today. These guys told a great story in ten minutes and didn't have to rely on death defying moves to do it.

Just plain ol' wrasslin.

Back when being the Television Champion f'ing meant something.

I know I'm probably the only one here who likes Joshi wrestling. But KAIRI went back to Stardom once her WWE contract was up and was promptly jumped.

Man, is it me or do Japanese women make the same annoying sound when they fuck and pretend fight?

lolz Kairi didn’t even put on a “fight”….. to each their own, I just don’t understand the appeal.

I've been a fan of Joshi wrestling since the early 90's. It's nowhere close to the level it was back then. Nowdays it comes off like cosplay. I do however like Mayu Iwatani and Utami Hayashishita. Those two are probably the best of the bunch right now.

I mean......she basically no sold both finishers then hit hers. It kinda doesn't look right. You know she's not gonna lose but sheesh. Do finishers mean anything anymore??
Welcome to modern day wrestling where you have a million false finishes and nobody sells anything, not even finishers.

If Cody ever goes back to AEW he's won't be accepted. He'll have to win the fan base back over.

He was getting go away heat before he left.
All he needed to do was turn heel and ride it out for awhile then organically come back as a Babyface. Omega, Danielson, Mox, Jericho, Punk have all been heels or babyfaces at some point in their career. I don't understand why Cody believes he's above turning heel. Dude really bought into his own hype.

This was the spot that Kenny was talking about in his wrestling observer interview that gave him vertigo. I remember watching this match. It was at the G1 tournament in 2017. Okada caught him flush with a dropkick then landed on the side of Kenny's head. At the time I didn't realize Kenny got vertigo from that spot. So from 2017 up until he lost the belt to Hangman at "Full Gear" this past November 2021 he's been wrestling with vertigo. Wow.

PS: Okada has the best dropkick in the business.

I'm gonna ask it and you all correct if I'm waaaaaaay off base here but:

There's no definitive answer to that question because both American and Japanese wrestling have their pros and cons. It really comes down to what you prefer. If you're a guy like me who loves workrate/match quality and more of a sports presentation then Japanese wrestling is King in that department. If you're a guy who likes character work, promos and storylines then American wrestling is the way to go. I personally love both American and Japanese wrestling. I also love Mexican wrestling (Lucha Libre).

Yeah Mexican Lucia libre wrestling is number 1 for me.

For me the answer is "No" and it's not even close.
The Japanese wrestling I've seen, even the "7-star classics" Meltzer only gives to Japanese matches, is a bunch of high spots with little selling, almost no storytelling, and bland characters.
It's a preference thing in the end, but definitely not for me
