HOLY SHIT! Horrible news for the industry but great opportunity for AEW. Tony get on the phone. I want Jay Lethal, Bandido, the Briscoes, Gresham, etc.

Damn...this is not a good look for wrestling overall
not really ROH fan but hopefully their talent can make through this tough period especially with places like AEW having more talent than tv time and WWE pivoting its development/business model.

The rosters are full on both AEW and WWE. Impact could use some talent, but the other two not so much. If I am Tony, I am calling Vince to see if he'll go in with me on a bailout for ROH. Or just do it himself, if he is a wrestling fan.

That would be a way of taking part in the talent exchange (forbidden door) by having the ROH guys appear on both AEW and WWE programming. The only problem is Vince would Bury the talent that AEW is building up in order to look like the stronger federation.

No way in HELL, Vince is going with the Forbidden Door like he did with ECW today. Hell even back then he only let Jerry Lawler go through that door!

The Briscoes are larger than life as far as personality. They're just not roided up guys. Supposedly the WWE passed on them before, in part, because of some past legal stuff. If they don't end up in NXT I'd love to see them in AEW if it leads to a blood feud with them and FTR.
For some reason I feel like Dannhausen is gonna end up in AEW and if they want Andrade to have a faction then they need to sign Rush and Dragon Lee
Andrade has been campaigning for them to leave. He has what he wanted now.

What incentive would Vince McMahon have to do a business deal with Tony Khan and buy ROH together?
Vince is a businessman and not a superfan that wants every promotion to work together on some fantasy shit.
99% of the ROH roster is unknown outside of their hardcore fanbase.
I'm not even sure if Vince would be interested in their tape library since WWE doesn't have their own network anymore.

Thoughts and observations on last night's Dynamite.

- Bobby Fish/CM Punk: Good match. Love how Fish works. Solid psychology. I don't know what happened there at the end as it seemed like Fish got his shoulders up either at three or slightly before three. It was really close. I don't know if the ref screwed that up or if that was on Fish.

- MJF/Bryce Donovan: Squash match for MJF then immediately into another great promo. Sting and Darby come out and put in work. MJF runs away leaving Wardlow and Spears to get beaten. Darby challenges MJF to a match at "Full Gear". Good segment.

- Britt Baker promo: Apparently Britt is facing Abadon on "Rampage" this Friday in a no DQ match. If Abadon wins she gets a title shot. I think what they're going to do is have Abadon win in some way then when Britt retains at "Full Gear" over Tay they run it back and Britt gets her win back over Abadon. Then they'll feed Britt one or two more opponents and then it'll be time for the Thunder Rosa feud.

- Ethan Page/Sammy Guevara: Good match. Both guys are very talented. Would like to see these two go at it again in the future.

- Serena Deeb/Hikaru Shida (TBS Title Tournament 1st Round): Another fantastic match. Serena is so great. Her level of selling, psychology, and offense is the standard in women's wrestling. I don't know how much of a role she has backstage in regard to match layout but they need to have her lay out every single woman's match. Shida finally gets her 50th win but it looks like they may continue this feud as Serena tried to break Shida's leg post match. Shida advances to face Nyla Rose in the next round. Maybe they have Shida lose to Rose in the next round therefore setting up a third match with Serena at "Full Gear". Possibility.

- Dark Order's 10/Jon Moxley (AEW World Eliminator Tournament 1st Round): Lol, Moxley power walked to the ring, beat 10's ass in a squash and power walked right back out. Moxley advances to face Orange Cassidy in the next round.

- Cody promo: Lol, Cody trying hard to win the fans back. I got to admit that was a good promo. Andrade comes out and cuts a funny ass promo.

"Cody, who do you think you are? These people don't like you. These people don't like me but the difference is I don't care about the people. Cody, you make stupid choices. First, that stupid tattoo. Second, you got in my business."

- Dark Order/The Elite (Halloween Match): Lol, The Elite dressed up like Ghostbusters. Fun comedy match. I can see Cornette having a fit. Lol. I couldn't stop laughing. Overall good show.

In addition to that she needs to stop with the whole "hair twirling happy-go-lucky" act that she does to the ring. She needs to come out on some power walk all business Amanda Nunes type of shit.
Yeah I mean I think this take is just some lazy ass writing as a face. They did it with Naomi for years....they really do it with the black female wrestlers. Alicia Fox went down that path as well. They come up with all this shit like "The Man" for Becky and Charlotte.....Sasha is probably the only one who made it out safe from writing and I feel like she did that on her own.

Yeah as a wrestling fan I'd like for it to happen but if I'm being logical....that shit would be dumb if Vince did that. And you are right. Since WWE Network is gone shit he doesn't give a fuck about filling up his library. He's content with future programming building it up.

What incentive did he have of helping ECW? And not buy, provide a loan that would be paid back.

Vince saw ECW as a possible developmental type of promotion. Somewhere he could pick off the top talent and send guys down to that needed more work or coming back from an injury. That's why he put money into it.
Look at all the guys he eventually signed from ECW that he wouldn't have gotten if ECW had died sooner.
WWE has their own developmental show now, so there's no need for another one anymore.

Xaiver has an inch and is 20lbs lighter, so Jay is going NOWHERE near WWE... Well, maybe if R-Truth retired tomorrow and someone was needed to do segments with Tozawa, then MAYBE.

Be a 24/7 division geek in WWE or work hella dream matches and possibly be AEW's first black heavyweight champion?

I think AEW should scoop him up and tie a rocket to him.

Not talking about a developmental promotion. A strictly:'Hey I need x amount of dollars and I will pay you back with this amount of interest." Forbidden Doors and developmental... Nobody wants that let alone Vince

And of all the wrestlers who signed with WWE long term who also didn't have a previous relationship with WWE: RVD and Tommy Dreamer and Taz that really isn't a lot.

Dudley Boyz, Dawn Marie, and eventually Paul Heyman himself too. Damn near all of ECW eventually got signed to WWE at some point.
Vince kept ECW alive long enough to eventually profit off them in perpetuity.
