IMO, I think Nick Kahn (WWE President), looked at the practice of hoarding talent to slow the growth of other companies as nonsense. WWE moves on a different tier than the other wrestling companies and Kahn is setting them up to be what Vince always claimed they were, a media/entertainment company. There's no sense in keeping all those performers on the books just for them set around backstage or at home.

. He could be the modern version what Bruiser Brody, Stan Hansen, Dr. Death, Terry Gordy, Vader, Bigelow, and Scott Norton was over there. He could be the lead American monster in Japan and get great notoriety. When he comes back to the states he would get a better deal than he had in WWE.

Jake never being WWF Champion is some of the wackest shit ever!! Hogan and his bullshit stopped a lot of greats from having a run. I watched the Dark Side Of The Ring about Ultimate Warrior, I totally forgot Hogan kicked out as the ref counted 3. He was horrible for the shit he pulled. Jake, Mr Wonderful, Dibiase, Muraco etc all could have been great champs. I still remember plain as day Undertaker dropping his ass on that chair at Survivor Series, I danced a fucking jig. Then the bitch just took it back by cheating on that Tuesday In Texas ppv.
You know as a kid man I was too young to remember that people but its crazy people who I grew up watching like Razor Ramon, Mr Perfect....Jake the Snake......Owen Hart....man I never had no clue they never got the title. Which is CRAZY. I mean they were in eras with Hulk, Stone Cold, The Rock...I get it but damn...that Hulkamania ran wild for too damn long in the early 90's.
And if u watch that big blonde bitch he CHEATED ALL THE TIME!!! As a kid I did not get the love for Hogan. Never got it. I know he got pushed but I honestly resonated with apparently lesser wrestlers in regards to who got the title because I honestly gravitated more to guys like Razor Ramon, Mr Perfect, etc. then I did a guy like Hogan.

I would take anything Jake says about most things, not including his fucked up childhood, with a grain of salt.

Nah Hogan and Vince were besties. U can look online to see all the backstage politics Hogan used. Anything Hogan said Vince went with. Hogan even made Macho Man winning the title about him.
Yeah, maybe y'all are right about the cutting Braun for his salary. BEFORE Nick Kahn, I don't think Vince would've let Braun go, but now that Kahn's in the picture, it seems like everything they've done or are about to do is about to be some type of money move, and however it affects Creative, it doesn't even matter.
Like I heard they're scouting new guys in the performance center to bring up to the main roster, or probably NXT and then call up NXT guys. It seems like the idea is to get rid of the big money contracts and fill out the roster by having a bunch of rookies on small contracts.
Clearly, WWE doesn't care about not putting out the best product, so they're just letting whoever go off into the wild. It's probably only Drew, Roman and Charlotte who are safe.
Hell the guys in NXT should want no part of the main roster. Anybody after Drew they fucked up. there is an interesting stat going around online that more NXT former champs have been cut then have been called up and won on of the titles
there is a crazy disconnect because NXT is effectively supposed to be the Main Roster's farm system.

Man....so I don't know if i'm just out of touch but Jake the Snake is one of the first wrestlers ever watched...my friend as a kid was watching wrestling and he put me on to Jake the Snake and I became a fan instantly...Never heard NONE of this shit about him....been watching wrestling since the mid 90's.....never knew.
This shit could've been a movie whether scripted or documentary I have a strong feeling they could've easily gotten 2 hours out of this story if they wanted to.
Shit they honestly should've started off with this episode as opposed to Brian Pullman even though that one was good too.

And when this episode about essentially his childhood came on first thing I thought of was alright he's about to lie because I just came off the Warrior episode and I thought he kind of embelished the story about the HOF thing.....so it shocked me to see his siblings pretty much confirm everything he said and it sort of put things in perspectrive. He said straight up that he's Jake Roberts now. He's buried Aurelian Smith so I think at times when you do that type of burying you become the character and as a result he's probably remembering some things differently than they actually happened.
Yeah I really can't stand it. Because if you don't say shit then nobody gives a fuck. But then you do this and then complain that people won't give you your space. He's straight up asking for this shit.
Also, any of y'all shocked that in 2021 Sami Zayn is still signed to the WWE?
