The wrestling podcast I watch has suggested they do that also. With the deadman character leaving his hat, coat and gloves behind it only makes since.I think the safest bet is to reintroduce the American Bad Ass Taker and have him and Cena close the show. They put the Dead Man Taker to rest last year. There is no reason to bring it back. Let Taker go out being himself. Which is basically what the American Bad Ass character was.
Oh and let Taker win this time. That should go without saying but clearly Vince has had problems with that lately.
I'll rather them go with the big evil gimmick and dead man walking theme. But they're most likely go with Kid Rock.

I agree that by all accounts the WWE dipped their toe in the terrority without a legit plan in place
but from the minute i started watching the tournament Pete Dunne has been a standout. I see him has a anti-daniel bryan type. Similiar size and unique offensives but the way DB gets over Dunn gets the job the done as the unlimate heal. Dude could be a legit stair (size permiting).
But the UK title is like the tag titles or the women's titles. If you dont have the title or in the title mix you absolutley dont matter/have no story/nor development

WWE tries to appear to be self-aware when things are just attempts at cashing in on trends without there being a true plan in place. It's rarely genuine. Shit is done so it can be edited down into a video package.
