...my nigga...they started by getting rid of the ramp that ol' no knees Hogan wanted and i despised.

this news is good and it sounds like TNA wants to start from ground zero......again

:dance::dance::dance:

I liked the old ramp. It was a holdover from the WCW days before Hogan got there. ECW used it for their ppvs later on. Since WWE doesn't use anything like it, I like TNA using it.

It's Taker. The local advertising for the 2/21/11 Raw in Fresno featured the "Return of the Undertaker". That's just fucking clumsy on the behalf of WWE.

Sorry for not putting up a spoiler alert.

That's a fucking awesome fake poster.

Christopher Daniels worked TNA last night as Suicide and he might bring back Curry Man but he's still signed to ROH.
It seems everything Hogan and Bischoff did when they came in has been undone. Val Venis, Nasty Boys gone. Orlando Jordan barely on tv. Steiner and Daniels back. Next thing you know they'll bring back the six sided ring.

Im mad!...

It is a great pic but the match would suck so bad. After the entrances, it would be all downhill.
Being that they're vets and wouldn't have too much recent punishment on their bodies at the time I'm sure that they could come up with a pretty good match. Not big on crazy spots but with good storytelling and heavy on psychology
I wonder who would induct Sting when ever he does make it into the hall. I really can't picture anyone doing it other than Flair.
Other than Flair I could see Luger doing it since they were best friends.Maybe even Arn if they were desperate.
That would be cool. Sting is still available.

Hey, I just heard WWE is looking to bring back Armando Estrada. That's great. That guy was really good. He could manage Kong or work as Smackdown GM with Teddy Long out.
Or be the Raw GM.I heard an interview with him on the Art of Wrestling Podcast about a month ago.Pretty good interview and he even talked about his sandwhich shop.
WORD??!!?

Now if they can bring back Mr. instant heat - Muhammad Hassan...i'll be watching WWE regularly again

:dance::dance:

That character isn't coming back especially in this PG era of WWE.

Nice to see he's coming full circle, for a while it seemed like he was trying to distance himself from wrestling. I guess now he realized that people will always know him as the rock, and that's not bad at all seeing as it was rock that made him a superstar.

Several gossip sites are reporting today that Justin Bieber's representatives have been talking with WWE about WrestleMania 27 for months and that a deal may be reached soon. If a deal is reached, Bieber will be performing at the big show in Atlanta.

Part of me wants to see this just because i know he will get booed out the building by all the adults, it'll be 80/20 adults to kids and i would expect a "shut the fuck up" chant to start.

seems booker t is announcing on smackdown..

Update on Smackdown Announce Team (SPOILER)
Posted by Chad Webb on 02.01.2011

Who is announcing?

- They are: Michael Cole, Josh Matthews and Booker T. It was reported that Booker was brought in for announcing and wrestling. Some have compared it Jerry Lawler's role on Raw. Booker T did the Spinaroonie in the ring before joining the rest of the team.

Did u read the Sting post Dave? They say he signed a deal.

I did but I never trust mainstream reports on wrestling stuff. They don't know who to talk to. I know signing Sting was the highest priority for Vince and WWE but I'll need confirmation from a reputable source before I believe it.

That might work for some hard core fans but most people will expect Sting 96 and Taker 2000 and be extremely disappointed by what happens when two broken down vets get in the ring. Even with all their experience, they would be very limited in what they can do. Sting hasn't had a good match in two years, since he feuded with Angle. Taker has had two good matches in three years and both were with Shawn Michaels. With that said, if they could sign this one, they should just for the historical sake.

Other than Flair I could see Luger doing it since they were best friends.Maybe even Arn if they were desperate.

Lex would be good and I've heard he's back on good terms with WWE.

Or be the Raw GM.I heard an interview with him on the Art of Wrestling Podcast about a month ago.Pretty good interview and he even talked about his sandwhich shop.

He would be perfect in that role too but having him be the anonymous GM would be a huge letdown.
btw, that gimmick is old and should have ended a long time ago. I'm to the point where I think the whole "GM/executive" gimmick/character should be put to bed for a long time.

Rock had to cut ties completely with wrestling for a while just he could be taken seriously as an actor. Now that he's an established guy, he can go back and do things with the company like any other celebrity.

What's funny is that his movies did better when he was still labeled as "The Rock". Mainstream accepted him as rock but hollywood dumbasses wanted him to become dwayne johnson.

The Rock = The Run Down:yes:
Dwayne Johnson = Tooth Fairy:smh::puke:

From Wrestlezone.com:

21-2=19, 1-1=0; Therefore, Undertaker Returns On 2-21-11
By: Chris Cash, Managing Editor

"If you zoom in, you can see 'Sting' written in the sand"

"Those are clearly pointed boots; the Undertaker never wore pointed boots. Therefore, it has to be a promo for Sting!"

"The smoke coming off of 2-21-11 at the end spells Sting! Well, I can clearly tell the first letter is an 'S' and the last letter is a 'G'. That's enough, right?"

"I'm a huge Undertaker fan and that is clearly not the Undertaker's walk. Any real wrestling fan would know that!"

And my personal favorite...

"If you subtract 2 from 21, you get 19 and 1-1 is 0. This promo is clearly for the Undertaker because it also indicates that he'll be back to defend his win streak at WrestleMania."

These are just a few of the recent emails I've received regarding the mysterious vignette that aired on last night's edition of Monday Night Raw. What probably started as a simple effort to bring the Undertaker back has now taken a life of its own.

And Vince McMahon must be eating it up.

I hope he is. Surely this reaction must prove true the "Keep It Simple Stupid" method. What would have been a typical post-ppv follow up show of a Raw on 2/21 is now becoming a must-see event. If it isn't, already.

Let's look at the candidates:

Anyone besides the Undertaker or Sting - at this point, I would say "not a chance". It could have started off that way (potentially Kong, a new gimmick, etc.), but fans would be way too disappointed if the reveal is any less than those two. I honestly think fans may even be disappointed if it turns out to be the Undertaker.

The Undertaker - the more likely choice given the fact we "know" he's signed with the company. He's also expected to be at WrestleMania this year and six weeks is all the time required to build to his annual match with the "Streak" on the line. I give Taker 2/1 odds.

Sting - the NY Daily Times somehow outscooped the scoopers and announced that Sting has signed a one-year deal with the WWE. No one has denied it at this point, so I guess it's feasible. Surprising though, seeing as how Sting vowed never to work for Vince and the WWE. I still wait for the day that never actually does mean never in professional wrestling. NEVERtheless, I give Sting 10/1 odds.

I'm sure more information on Sting's potential signing will be released over the weeks to come, but even if it's all a hoax and Sting was never slated to join the WWE family, it has sure been fun while it's lasted. Imagining the fantasy matchups that seem endless right now pairing Sting with Cena, Punk, an inevitable return of Ric Flair, Randy Orton, Jericho, etc. Yes, even an iconic showdown between Sting and the Undertaker is certainly a match for the ages.

Sting may not have a lot of time left lacing up his boots, but that's plenty of time for me. He's truly the one big player left that his not giving in and signing with Vince has made wrestling fans miss out on a lot of great, historical moments.

If he works the Crow gimmick (and he should), his age and lost steps in the ring can be disguised. Look at what the Undertaker has accomplished since changing his style to suit his age. He works smarter, not harder. Sting knows how.

The hype surrounding February 21st, 2011 has led to something much more now.

Hope.

It's a reminder that Sting has never wrestled in a WWE ring. It's a reminder that he still has classic matches to be wrestled in said WWE ring. And a reminder that the WWE is still the place to be at some point in your career as a wrestler. 2-22-11 has provided us with hope that it could all change in one night.

Damn! Now I'm going to be disappointed if it turns out to be the Undertaker.

When, not if, Sting finally goes to WWE, Vince's victory over WCW will be complete. Sting, even more than Flair (more the face of Crockett and the NWA), was the face of WCW. He definitely should go, even if he never wrestles a match.

We can at least get a good ass dvd.

yeah, but if they do a documentary, the have to have Flair on it:yes:

Some new Flair interviews on Sting would be great but he's spoken so highly of Sting publicly so many times, I'm sure they have archive footage they'll use.
Same thing with Mick Foley. They have to have him speak on Sting. Him, Flair, Luger, and Vader have to be some of Sting's greatest enemies.

So let me ask you this, now that you know who "they" are, do you think this is a positive move on the part of TNA, or another case of two steps forward three steps back? I am still on the fence about it. I would really like to see how they explain it...

I think it's great and much better than bringing back Sting and Nash.
They had it running as a kind of subplot/back up plan all along. Not just the way Bischoff has been riding AJ but the responses by AJ and Kazarian on ReAction. I saw this coming eventually but not this soon.
I'm curious to how Steiner and Angle fit into it and what happens with Ric Flair.
I also hope they don't abandon the TV title. Abyss had it but he's out for a while and they didn't even mention it.

They better have some UWF footage as 1/2 of the Blade Runners(with Ultimate Warrior) to his face turn against Hotstuff International. Without Bill Watts cooperation this DVD will be incomplete. Also include matches against the Great Muta and Rick Rude.

I think they have that because Crockett got some UWF footage when he bought it from Watts.

Sting's a lot like Flair in that he's worked on top nearly his entire career. He wrestled at almost every ppv and Clash so he has a long, long list of matches to choose from.
The Rude matches were good. Rude was a stiff son of a bitch.

If it is it'll be from april 0f 87 to starrcade 87 when they UWF got Jobbed out. But they'll have the Flair stuff, Vader, Rude, Cactus Jack, the dangerous alliance fued, oh yeah when he won the TV against Mike Rotunda. And they must have the Steiners vs Luger/Sting as well

Pretty much. Watts lost the Mid South library in his divorce and sold what was left to Crockett. I think Sting's turn on Eddie Gilbert might be in there. Now that I think about it, it should be since that happened after him and Rick Steiner lost the UWF tag titles to Tim Horner and Brad Armstrong (something that should be won't be on the dvd).

Damn, got me thinking about UWF. That shit was so good.

Sting headlined like the first 4 or 5 Clash of the Champions with different opponents and didn't get a break until he jacked up his knee in Corpus Christi...at a Clash of the Champions.

KEVIN NASH COMMENTS ON TNA DEPARTURE, GIVES ADVICE TO DIXIE CARTER
by Mike Johnson @ 11:15 AM on 2/3/2011

Kevin Nash wrote a blog commenting on his departure from TNA and return to World Wrestling Entertainment as Diesel over the weekend, noting that he needed to come back to where he started.
"My wife and I had a long discussion and I told her how important it was for me to end my career where I began. I think it took her 2 seconds to agree. I don’t know how many of you have seen Vanilla Sky. Don’t know if Boston was real or lucid dream. When they chanted Diesel, it sure as hell felt real for ME!"

Nash thanked Jeff Jarrett for inviting him back into professional wrestling, commenting, "Alot of people don’t realize what a close relationship Jeff and I have. In the dog days of the WWF, I’m sure we traveled more than a million miles together. What he went through with the loss of his wife Jill and the happiness he’s now found, while trying to keep TNA together, was amazing to witness."

Nash also specifically thanked The Carter family and advised Dixie Carter that if she really wanted to compete with the WWE, she needed to break the bank and hire John Cena, because when WCW wanted to compete they did that with he and Scott Hall.

You can read all of Nash's comments on his Twitter account at Twitter.com/realkevinnash and http://kevinnash.tumblr.com/.

Okay, Big Kev should stfu on this one. Bringing in Cena would do nothing except give them a one week bump. TNA is not WCW in 96. WCW had a large fanbase already and was building on that by bringing in Hogan and Savage. TNA is still a relatively new company compared to WWE. They've already brought in big names and don't have much to show for it. Bringing in Angle, Foley, Hogan, RVD, and Hardy (both) gave them slight bumps and then the ratings went back to normal.
When they brought in Angle, he was headlining in WWE and ECW. Jeff Hardy was the most popular guy in wrestling when he left WWE and still nothing.

It's the booking that will help them stand out not buying names and faces.

Trying to climb that cage with the horseman vs gary hart j-tex .
And earlier Flair told him " to SMARTEN UP Do the right thing don't sign that contract" and then smacked the shit out of him lol . Cause then Luger fill in for the Wrestle War match where Luger turned face when he saved sting from that beatdown with the horseman

would've been the greatest heel ever
though probably would've gotten murdered by an overzealous fan though lol

Vince bought him in at the worst time possible, but yeah if he had stayed in that character any time longer he would of got killed.
