I wouldn't say dummy although he is a dummy, but I think he's a fan. Vince wasn't a "fan" of wrestling. He was trying to impress his father more than anything. He's a nerd with a blank check. You put a nerd in charge of anything it's going to fail cause fans aren't good at the business they're fans of. "I loved Kenny Omega vs Will Ospreay! I want to see that again!" Well, the rest of the world is good on seeing that for the 18th time. "I love a good super kick party!" Nobody wants to see 6 matches with a super kick party...in a row!!! That's just not good business.
I don't disagree that TK is a nerd, he just sucks as a businessman.
Bill Gates and Steve Jobs were nerds. They were broke nerds who became very wealthy because they were good businessmen. Most importantly, they weren't dummies. Vince McMahon, no he wasn't a nerd but he was a good businessman.

Part of the problem is he's booking for shit he wants to see, and not listening to anyone of substance, and cats like Jericho know what this fool is and are taking advantage of him, and he doesn't know any better cause he's too busy being star struck.
I have to imagine that conversation that Jericho had with Vince to get his blessing to go to AEW was like: "I got this pencil necked geek wrapped around my finger! I am gonna get PAID!!!!"

Jacob fatu talking was great but don't like the idea of him getting punked out by lane as la knight or Braun nobody gives a fuck wannabe big show.

That finish was one of the worst finishes I've seen in wrestling, holy shit that was a slow motion botch in real time lol strip that hoe and give the belt to Charlotte already.
I agree with you for the most part. There needs to be a shake up on the roster
Being a fan and being in charge can work. HHH is a perfect example of that. He's shown he's a wrestling fan and knows about wrestling outside of the WWE sphere. But he's also aware of what the mainstream American audience wants to see. So instead of forcing what he wants to see on them, unlike TK and later years Vince, he packages it for the WWE universe.
I missed half of this detail due to distraction, but I agree with most of what I remember. I liked seeing Jimmy do solo work, but I hate seeing Carmello do... pretty much anything. Dude is literally a jobber disguised as talent. His gimmick is "I'm good". Well, shit bro, that's everyone's gimmick.
I think three hours of Smackdown doesn't work as well as the two hour format did. I know it was concession to USA probably, but this group just isn't telling the same stories that Raw was in the heyday.
Hell, Raw actually surprised me this week by firmly clocking in at two and a half hours. I know they said the time was flexible, but I wasn't expecting a shorter show that early. It turns out it was a good move, because I really didn't want or need another half hour of show. Not that the show was bad, but thirty more minutes would have really been stretching for the sake of stretching.

I may be a Carmelo truther but I think this kid is a star in the making..I thought he performed very well the first time he fought Cody Rhodes during his debut on smackdown. I don't think they know what to do with him right now. Like he needs an angle. For example, tonight after fatu pushed him down, why not come back at them. Kid is too good to keep losing like this.
I think we've all praised the entrances in modern WWE. They've done a lot to improve the quality of the introductions of each show and wrestle.
A few quick notes....
Whoever thought of opening Smackdown by showing they're commentators walking in, should get slap. Don't that again, please & thank you.
Damian Priest's entrance has stolen ever positive aspect of the Judgement Day's entrance, that's the latters is now just black & white with no fanfare. Good God is it time to end that group.
Are there 30 more shows between now & the Rumble? Just asking for the over/under on them opening every show until then with someone coming out and telling us they're going to be in the Rumble.

Real talk, is them doing this supposed to mean something? The top 20 wrestlers not actually having a title shot or a grudge match that night are obviously going to be in the Rumble. Hyping the Rumble actually takes some of the air out of it, personally.
In fact, it would be more entertaining if no one was allowed to say they were in or not. People just hinting at it. People accusing friends or enemies of sneaking in to steal their glory. That sounds fun. Cena "talking himself into it" like he wasn't going to be there at some point is just a waste of time and energy.
They should add him with the Street profits and refresh their package, Him Trick Dangelo and Montez on some 4 horseman type shit. Melo could be the mouthpiece

True but one thing that HHH has that TK and Vince didn't have was employment history as a Wrestler. The failing and success of being a wrestler is invaluable to booking and the business of wrestling. So yes you can be a fan, but there goes SO MUCH more than just having a love for it.

I doubt they'll let KO beat Cody & be the real champion, but damn I love everything they're doing with his character.

Titles aren't real. I mean we all know that, the problem is that wrestlers weren't given the ability to try to succeed or even fail under Vince. Kevin Owens...hell all wrestlers have been running on all cylinders in WWE. That was the allure of AEW having the ability to "work" instead of sitting around in catering. And now the more structured wrestlers are finding that you lose TK's gaze after awhile and you become this rudderless ship.
Cody has that belt Summer Slam maybe Survivor Series but these filler matches have been VERY entertaining!
So here's the thing that I've been thinking with the recent merger. They can get "invasion" right this time. Take some of the misused talent from AEW and quite frankly WWE(carmelo) and start a "promotion". Similar to the invasion angle but make it its own. Like smackdown is seen as lesser right now but there is enough talent to make whole new promotion up under the WWE umbrella. Put it up against aew on Wednesday.
Kevin's eagle belt and the damn ula fala have meant more than either world title has in months.
And with them introducing so many new belts in the women's division, I've stop playing attention to who has what title. I much more focused on character building and stories.
I don't like this collaboration with NXT. That company is treating TNA as a developmental league. TNA should be a peer to that company's main roster.
