Wow, they literally crafted the whole show around MJF trying to find partners for the main event. We'll see if this strategy paid off tomorrow when the ratings come out
I'm watching Basketball on my night off but MJF has been the most entertaining part of the show since they went all in on his face turn. I'll watch tomorrow.

This promotion is getting older by the day, LMAO.
I thought this was supposed to be the place for young and up and coming talent.
Shit's starting to look like a nursing home now.

Jerhico with that long ass streak of gray in his hair. Paul Wight with big old man dad body. Billy Gunn looking like if Biden was on steroids. Sting looking like...ugh. I get using the older talent to get younger talent over, but it does seem like older talent getting paydays and screen time.

Big show could barely walk. His hips were crooked

A Ric Flair energy drink would've made sense in the 90s when his whole gimmick was cocaine- fueled maniac.
Could have signed a deal with Red Bull.
Could have signed a deal with Monster.
Could have worked a deal with 5 Hour...
Hell, TK could have called up Nelly to work out a deal with Pimp Juice!

Nope. Woooo Energy with Ric "Mr. Helicopter" Flair....

At this point, TK is just running the WWE retirement home.

I really feel like Vince McMahon/Triple H encourages these old timers to sign with TK to squeeze out some money from the guy and take away TV time from their younger talent.

It's a genius strategy really.

WWE doesn't have to keep them signed up but they still are in their HOF.

TK has really lost his way and AEW is in danger of losing it's hardcore fans. AEW 2019-2021 was so good. What the hell happened?
I was just asking myself that. It always seemed like it was a fan running the show...now it just REALLY feels like a fan running the show. Like listening to a 9 year old talk about different anime's and who would win in a fight between them.

Brother Mastermind2002, when they got the deal with WBMedia/Discovery ..I noticed a lot of changes!!...Their PPV's this year really help them a lot this year!!

Somebody needs to save Tony from himself. This is cool if it's like a legends deal video games and stuff like that. If we get a spinebuster leading to a figure 4 leg lock then it's worth it just for that nostalgia for me.
I was right, Flair's signing is largely for merchandising. Also the energy drink is paying nearly his entire AEW contract. So kinda a W when you look at it that way.

TK is not a booker (even though Meltzer and his minions voted him booker of the year) and never has been.
He's a kid with a lot of money handed down from his dad playing with his real life action figures that he bought.
At some point every kid gets bored of their toys and either wants new toys or stops playing with toys all together.
Seems like we're getting close to the point where TK may be running out of new toys to play with.
Chrislee, you're right brother...I think it's WBMedia/Discovery is making these changes ....
WB owns a piece of AEW so they get to call the shots to a certain degree.
That's what happens when you take a check in exchange for giving up partial ownership to another company.

I had a feeling it was probably an exchange deal where Flair gets to plug his energy drink basically for free without AEW having to pay him directly.
Kind of like the old Slim Jim deal with Macho Man and WCW.
Still not a good signing because of the optics of it all.

I went back and watched this week AEW Dynamite!!...It was a solid show!!...They are getting ready for the upcoming PPV so this show was to build it up for it...I knew that Adam Copeland was going to team up with String and Darby Allin for Full Gear!!..I'm glad it wasn't Ric Flair..lol....It look like The Young Bucks might be turning heel soon!!.. I thought the last match with Bullet Gold Club vs MJF and The Acclaimed was cool..

Overall, It was a solid show to get ready for the upcoming PPV
