Having a show on Friday and then again Saturday and a PPV Sunday was over doing it.
AEW already has?/had? a quarterly show like Clash of the Champions called 'Battle of the Belts' that hardly anyone watched.
Blame WB for pushing for the show. They need to end Rampage and replace it with Collision. Rampage for the last couple of months had been booked like Sunday Night Heat for so than their B show to showcase unused Wednesday talent. The dirt sheets are stating that Punk and The Elite may be able to do business in the future.
WWE runs shows within a three or four day span (Smackdown, PPV, Raw) and their numbers seem fine for all of those….
It’s the writing/booking of AEW. They have the in ring talent. Their booking and stories are trash.
As soon as I saw that the tweet was from Jobber Nation I rolled my eyes. That guy is a notorious anti-AEW troll who grasps at any little thing to throw hate on AEW. You throw that guy in the pile with AEW Botches and all the other twiiter trolls. When it's a slow news day the clowns to come out to play.

I watched that show a couple of times!!...they only had three matches with wrestlers that have championship belts to defend them..It was like a hour show...But if they hyped AEW Collision and make it like a 2-4months wrestling event special..People will tune into it..

Good main event. Sting hurt himself when he jumped and landed on the table. He still gutted it out and finished the match but it's time to stop jumping off shit. Too old for that shit.

I like that the best part of Jungle Boy's turn is waiting to see what Christian has to say. Can't say what would work best for his presentation as a heel because of how AEW handle the "heel's motivations". Christian with Luchasaurus does have a old-school feel to it, and Christian has done a great job in his role.

They turned him heel because from all indications he's a douchebag in real life, but yeah, he's terrible on the mic and sounds like a whiny middle school kid. He's said himself he hates doing promos.

They don't cater to wrestling fans bro. They cater to their bubble of smarks who think they're cool cause they keep up with NJPW. Another dip for Dynamite & Collision fell off hard. Ratings still matter, when Roman can give SD jumps on segments alone...it matters. Tony is just failing to keep up with what he promised. I've been to two of their dynamites here in Dallas (Garland) I purposely missed the last & wanted to go to ROH at UTA, but couldn't get there. The tickets aren't hitting like that, plus they do a lot of giveaways. The casual fan is someone who grew up on pro wrestling, but lost interest as they got older, life, or just tired of WWE. They need casuals to grow. No way around it. They've got to get better with story telling & quit trying to appeal to the twitter bubble. Dynamite last night was horrible. You can't follow up a PPV with positive reviews with a show like that. It just kills all your momentum.

No, they don't watch New Japan for some shallow perception of being viewed as "cool" they watch it because it provides the best presentation of wrestling on the planet. This notion that a wrestling fan can't watch any wrestling outside of WWE or AEW or they'll be labeled a smark is dumb.
No bro it doesn't matter. Nielsen ratings are outdated. It doesn't account for streaming or pirated viewers. Any number that Nielsen gives you isn't an accurate number.

I've been to three Dynamites here in Saint Louis and each show was packed. I'm not aware of any giveaways so I can't comment on that.
That's a lapsed fan not a casual fan. A casual fan (not a real fan more a viewer) is someone who just happens to be flipping through channels and comes across a Roman Reigns/Bloodline segment on Smackdown. It holds their interest and they watch and when the segment is over they flip the channel again to NBA basketball or something else. They're not watching the wrestling show for the "wrestling". That viewer/fan can't be counted on. They're here one week gone the next.
The lapsed fan isn't coming back in droves no matter what because professional wrestling isn't as popular as it was back in the 80's/90's. That ship has sailed. Nowdays there's too many better options for tv shows to watch then a "wrestling show". You could bring in Quentin Tarantino to do the storytelling for AEW and it still won't matter.
