I remember older wrestlers occasionally working when wrestling was hot but they didn't have to rely on 60 year olds when wrestling was actually good. I know that the wwe prints money now but man the business as a whole is in trouble. They got 4-5 years to make some stars and that's a very liberal estimate.

Signing Cody gave WWE something the haven’t had a chance to do in awhile. It brought back that feeling we use to get back in the day when a wrestler would come over from ECW or WCw….that Cody appearance even though we all knew it was coming was chilling. Real entertaining Mania…

Man honestly they seem to be in good hands for the next 4 years…Austin was great but they didn’t need him tonight. Craziest shit? I came away most impressed with Bianca and Becky….they’re in good hands.

The women can work but let's be honest can they draw? How long can they get away with people that can't draw is my point?

Just goes to show how Tony Khan’s surprises got stale too fast.

WWE bringing Cody back, and the way he was presented, has to make some AEW talent (who’ve never worked in WWE) wonder what if……

I agree. To me WWE showed they were still the place to be. Out of all the shit Cody has done….tonight came across as Cody’s biggest moment of his career….I could be wrong but that’s how it came across to me.

I think it’s a bad look for AEW because it’s basically making them look like the place to get your value back up and it establishes WWE as still the lone major wrestling promotion.

Becky and Bianca have some of the biggest merch sales.
I'm sure that's true but how is the viewership? They still have to have some viewers obviously watching habits have changed and streaming is part of the reason why but I think wrestling could be in trouble long term just my opinion.

Shocked Austin actually had a match with Owens. I thought it would just be a stunner, drink beer and leave.
Vince must have backed up the Brinks truck and made Austin an offer he couldn't refuse. LOL
Overall, decent night. Sold my tickets for Night 1 because of the UNC-Dook game, but I'll be there tomorrow for Night 2.

When Seth said “Welcome back to the big leagues, bitch”….
:itsawrap:

Btw, props to the evolution of female wrestling…use to hate watching them wrestle….now I find myself watching and looking forward to their matches…..

Now AEW ain't shit. Look Wrestlemania is their big deal so it should be worth watching. But everything they've down up until this has been 2nd to AEW. Raw be extra trash, Smackdown be trash most of the PPV be trash. I do look forward to Wrestlemania, I always hope some new wild shit happens. But right now I'm more entertained by AEW. Watching Austin was nostalgic as hell though.

Cody is a WWE guy. I'm not surprised he went back and I don't know why most people are. He was at a point there where he was stagnant and frustrated and just needed to go out and do and prove his own thing. A lot of those guys will make their way back to WWE, especially the ones who spent most of their careers there, like Jericho or Bryan Danielson.

I honestly be bored by all of it. From WWE or AEW…..but WWE showed they were top Dog….AEW is getting tired.

Lolz Kevin Owens resigned with WWE a few months ago…. I’m pretty sure he feels great about that decision. Especially knowing he main evented Wrestlemania with one of his childhood favorites.

Somewhere, CM Punk is still pissed about not main eventing Wrestlemania….
